Gore Vidal vs. anyone is always quality. But oh crikey! I didn't realise old Gore was so far gone down the road to Alzheimers. I'd like to think he was taking the piss but quite frankly, I fear NOT.

It's depressing to think that only a bloody World Cup win would get people acting like that in the streets here.
I watched some of the start of it in bed, but it was patently obvious Obama would win so never bothered. Did see a lot of it in the morning. There was no way that old codger would win, youth always wins out. Kinda like Clinton before, but much more historic.
That episode of South Park is one of the best i've seen in ages. I really loved the totally farcical stuff like John McCain standing outside the White House wearing a giant fake moustache.
