    Where to begin..

Westlife parted ways with Syco, are now signed to Sony (RCA) and their first single from this era is called "Lighthouse"

It's written by Gary Barlow and John Shanks.

It's taken from the Greatest Hits which is about to be released later and will include 4 new songs.

The rest is all the old stuff probably. Since the last Greatest Hits there haven't been any big hits I think.

    That's a snippet:

    <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EosNXvFIOgo?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EosNXvFIOgo?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

What singles have they had since the last Greatest Hits? Will it be a mixture of all of their singles or just the ones released since the last one?

They've racked up a few since: You Raise Me Up, When You Tell Me That You Love Me, What About Now, Gravity, Mandy, The Rose etc.

They've had 11 hits since the last GH, so those and 4 new tracks would make 15 which seems like a decent number.

Of the 12 (including Lighthouse) singles released since the last GH collection, 6 are covers.

    ANOTHER cover!

And possibly the worst song ever.

I do quite like Bop Bop Baby however. The Almighty mix is out of this world :disco:

    I can't believe I just did a :disco: in a Westlife thread.

They've filmed the video in what appears to be a DESERT as well. That makes sense because I imagine the desert is FULL of Lighthouses.

If ANY band should never have got to the stage where they're releasing a SECOND GH collection, it's Westlife.

I like that they even make those burney flare things look boring.

THE WANTED DID IT BETTER. I'm surprised they're not wearing safety gloves.

I agree, they should have done this after the first Greatest hits. End it up with a great double album and all the new songs they though are great and be done with it.

I love how Mark has clearly stacked all the weight back on and then some, and is reduced to standing around in the background wearing a massive winter coat while the rest wear T-shirts and jeans.

I want this to chart at #11. Ideally it wouldn't be TOP 75, but it would be nice for it to ONLY JUST deny them another top 10.

If I was a fan I would care and would buy all editions of the GH (I love it when live tracks are included in them) but then again I don't give a FLYING NUN'S QUIM so the sooner they go away the better

Last single going to be the first not to enter the Top 10 :o

In the early days not reaching #1 was a scandal, how things have changed..

I don't think the album will do disastrously by any means, although I doubt it will sell anything like the first one did. The no brain Christmas gift market will see to that.
