    Hi,
Could you please post your favourite Simply Red songs (in chart form) below.

This is the first in a series of major artists and will be part of the biggest music rate in the history of the internet, and when you see the end result you will want to have been part of it.

    Here you go hun!

    1. Fairground

As you're still fairly new, I thought I'd just say that Simply Red isn't really much of a "Moopy artist" - perhaps next time choose, say, Paul McCartney or Jessie J and you'll get more responses! xx

Fairground may be one of my least favourite #1s of the 90s.

Without wishing to sully this art with ACTUAL CHAT, it may be one of the best examples to my mind of a brilliant song stapled to a fucking shit one. Such MESMERING VERSES

The sound of the death rattle as Mick Hucknall draws his last breath.

I have a sneaking regard for a few of them - Holding Back the Years *is* a lovely song.

But he's so, so awful. That Marie Antoinette MANE he was rocking circa Fairground was a hate crime.

Once again a quality new poster has to go through hell as part of an initiation . Stay strong Breathe - the whole of Europe is with you.

My favourite would be the one with no singing, no music and no sounds whatsoever other than the sound of laboured breathing and mushy sobbing as Mick Hucknall tries to catch breath after I kick his teeth into his throat.

Bring me Mick Hucknall and I'll put my steel-toecap boots on and gladly oblige, you'll have to film it on your phone though because I'm not good with technology.

I actually genuinely love Something's Got Me Started. I have a weakness for that early 90s piano pop sound.

Is that the one where someone with a much better voice keeps shouting 'YES I WOULD' in between the reedy queefs that Hucknall passes off as vocals? I do like that one.

Also top drawer effort, Breathe, duly remembered for Moopyrate.

Grade A trolling here from Breathe who surely must be an alias for an existing and/or former poster. It's just all too knowing :D

On topic though, "Fake" is amazing and the only Simply Red song I can tolerate.

I seem to recall I had a sneaking regard for one of the lesser 'Stars' singles, but I have no recollection of any of them right now, other than the title track and 'For Your Babies', and it wasn't either of those.
