I’ve had this - Simon Howie, right? Though I hate it being in the meat aisle as I usually avoid it. I quite liked it.

Yes, it is - I didn't know it existed until the other week precisely because they stack it next to the meat version! C'mon people, know your market.

My biggest addiction since last year is lentil cakes. You know like rice cakes but made of lenses.

    I eat about 4-5 packages a week.

I'm pretty sure I'd be addicted to snapea crisps if they sold any here.

    I LOVE CRISPS.

Some prefer it made in to a little ICE POP, rather than crunchy. :side-eye:

Lenses?! Why is the word for lentils and lenses the same in so many languages? In French it’s the same word for contact lenses and lentils. WHY?

Both had the same Latin word, I guess one inspired the other because of the shape. We have very similar words for them too.

I wasn’t really sure. When I googled lentil cakes I got something else.

I love little etymological nuggets like that. To be fair lenses are pretty lentil-shaped.

Even in Arabic the word for lentil and lens is practically the same.

I found that many people around me like drinking coffee, while I'd like to drink tea or just water. I almost don't drink coffee.

Oh totally a coffee addict. But that’s fairly standard when you work in research. I don’t think I’ve ever met a scientist who isn’t a total coffee addict.

I need to find a new breakfast (a bowl filled with as much cereal as possible - usually porridge, but 5 weetabix will fit in there, and if it's flakes of some sort, then I scrunch them), and to stop drinking so much coffee. Actually, cutting milk full stop might be good.

I found a new milk "alternative" which is still cow milk but it's fat free, lactose free and it's enhanced with a shitload of protein. I wonder if it even is milk :D no wonder my tits keep growing and my hair keeps thinning out :disco:

I've tried switching to almond milk for cereals (because I'm getting bad heart burn and someone recommended it to me for this), but all the non milk milks curdle in coffee and it's just gross.
