I’ve had this - Simon Howie, right? Though I hate it being in the meat aisle as I usually avoid it. I quite liked it.

Yes, it is - I didn't know it existed until the other week precisely because they stack it next to the meat version! C'mon people, know your market.

My biggest addiction since last year is lentil cakes. You know like rice cakes but made of lenses.

    I eat about 4-5 packages a week.

I'm pretty sure I'd be addicted to snapea crisps if they sold any here.

    I LOVE CRISPS.

Some prefer it made in to a little ICE POP, rather than crunchy. :side-eye:

Lenses?! Why is the word for lentils and lenses the same in so many languages? In French it’s the same word for contact lenses and lentils. WHY?

Both had the same Latin word, I guess one inspired the other because of the shape. We have very similar words for them too.

I wasn’t really sure. When I googled lentil cakes I got something else.

I love little etymological nuggets like that. To be fair lenses are pretty lentil-shaped.

Even in Arabic the word for lentil and lens is practically the same.
