    Just the one please.

    Mine is "Love Child."

I've been playing their #1's compilation a lot lately. Truly sublime. And the solo Diana stuff is top notch too.

I may even do a YouSendIt thread of some Supremes live stuff from the 60s.

"Reflections" would be my runner-up, with "You Keep me Hangin' On" rounding up the top 3.

But I don't think I know any of their other songs outside what's on The #1's. :shy:

Afraid not. What an ALL TIME GREAT it was. That intro could have been from a record 40 years later :disco:

I bought back in the day this essential double cd with 50 tracks and includes all the hits and some rare tracks. Fantastic.

Oh yes. I do like the Mary-Jean leads, they work really well. I think Stoned Love might be my favourite Supremes song though. Talk about joyous.

My Supremes starter was an anthology with a slightly different tracklisting than the one above. I also treasure my two seventies Supremes box sets.

I wish I’d gotten those damned box sets at the time- go for a fortune now.

I do have a 70s anthology I play a lot though and all the 70s albums on vinyl. Post- Diana there was some great stuff- Stoned Love, Nathan Jones, Automatically Sunshine, Bad Weather... I think Up The Ladder To The Roof May be my favourite of the non- MISS ROSS years, though.

I'm enjoying this HOT SUPREMES CHAT. I may have to ENTIRELY IGNORE Suedey's initial plea and whack out a SUPREMES TOP TEN HIT LIST. I'm a bit annoyed my list is all SINGLES in REFLECTION (see what I did there?) but they really were a HOT 100 kinda act...

    1. My World is Empty Without You (and EACH TIME darkness falls, it finds me ALONE with THESE FOUR WALLS)
    2. Up the Ladder to the Roof (and we shall RUN across the SKY)
    3. Love is Like an Itching in My Heart (and BABY I can't SCRATCH IT)
    4. You Keep Me Hangin' On (and there ain't NOTHIN' I can do about it)
    5. Stoned Love (I PRAY for PEACE AND LOVE, amen)
    6. Reflections (You think that I don't FEEL LOVE, but what I feel for YOU is REAL LOVE)
    7. Love Child (DIFF'RENT from the REST)
    8. You Can't Hurry Love (No, I CAN'T BEAR to live my LIFE ALONE)
    9. I Hear a Symphony (You've given me a TRUE LOVE)
10.Nathan Jones (you been GONE too LONG)

    :disco:

I like the one that goes ‘where did our love go?’. I think it’s called Where Did Our Love Go?

So hard to choose one with so many fantastic songs, but my all time favourite is Come see about me. Apart the obvious ones that were named already, I love The Happening too, which I (re)discovered because of a cover, like many of their songs: You keep me hangin' on, You can't hurry love, Love child, Nathan Jones...

I'm gonna make you love me with The Tempations would make my Supremes top 10 too.
