Corrie and EE both have DULL patches, but I think EE has come on LEAPS and BOUNDS as far characters have come... Plus EE has also (at last!) developed a sense of humour about itself... It's often subtle but it's there... Although I did enjoy the reference in Corrie the other day when Sean seemingly acknowledged that he and the other one from QAF had both been in it... "I could have sworn you were gay..."

By contrast EE's MJ moment could have been SO MUCH better... "I couldn't believe he was 50"

    REALLY DENISE?

    *BUMP*

I watch Eastenders mainly but dip in and out of Coronation Street, and Emmerdale. I notice Eastenders is the Moopy soap of choice going by posts but it also seems to be the least popular of the Top 3 at the moment going by viewers.

I must say Gail Platt in Coronation Streets transformation from black widow to a proper comedy character has been a fantastic breakthrough.

None of them (still). And looking at the TV ratings, that must be an ever increasing amount of people. I had no idea that EastEnders can't even manage 6 million viewers any more.

They are certainly haemorrhaging viewers left right and centre compared to the YEARS when Corrie and Eastenders were the most watched shows in Britain.

I know viewing is down across the board, but EastEnders isn't even in the top 10 any more. Individual episodes of it are being watched less than some episodes of the Six O'clock News. And those figures in that post include timeshift and iPlayer views for up to a week after broadcast. Live viewing is barely four million.

I mean, I find it unbearable, but I never realised so many others have given up on it.
