I reckon it was sometime after 1992. Her voice had definitely changed by the time of the WTE soundtrack, her voice isn't as soft as it was during "The Bodyguard" era.

275k is very surprising :o I still don't think it'll have legs but they'll be well pleased with that.

I think it will certainly have legs, by the time Oprah comes around it should still be selling well and then through the Holidays and she's a lock for Grammy's season in January/February, Clive will make sure of that

I'm not sure when it'll be on but I am in the same room as the person who schedules it :eyes:

I think generally they're behind, although that could just be because there haven't been any new episodes over the summer.

IF ONLY I COULD FIND OUT

I'd like to thank dUb for his ongoing, loyal contribution to this thread, not least because it has now passed Mariah's album thread in post count

    Well done dUb

    Yeah funky

LEAVE MY GOOD FRIEND DUB ALONE (even though he never sticks up for me at times like this)

That Mariah thread is going to EXPLODE once we have some more material.

FYI guys, you will be pleased to hear I was singing my own heartfelt version of 'I Wanna Know What Love Is' in the shower earlier. In fact, I think it was better.

You know what, I was just trying to tailor some of Whitney's GMA Interview remarks to this situation but I recognised it wasn't working and moved it right along

That performance of "I look to you" is making me so emotional, I love it, especially the moment "Who on earth can I turn to?"

    Oh and Diane Warren:

+ Whitney performed "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" on Oprah, requested by Oprah herself.

I'm still LOVING this album, it's her best one yet. More consistent than My Love Is Your Love, though without the truly STELLAR highs of that.

HDD is now thinking the album will go up to 310k in its first week of sales. The current #1 album debuted on only 100k.

It seems Oprah is her next live performance, if that bombs Clive will really be shitting in his Depends.

    100%

I could probably fill half of my Whitney Top 10 with My Love tracks but this is just as consistent

The only album track on MLIYL that I really rank amongst my all time favorites these days is "I Bow Out"

There is NO WAY that Oprah is going to be anything but a MEGA SUCCESS. Even if the live vocal is shit (again).

"Get It Back" has stuck with me since DAY ONE but the title track, It's Not Right..., Heartbreak Hotel and You'll Never Stand Alone are absolutely stone cold classics for me too.
