It seems her performance on Oprah was beyond good, so this is her big chance to prove some people wrong.

    Oprah on Twitter
"In search of ceiling repairmen. Cause Whitney just BLEW THE ROOF off of Harpo. Grown men & women weeping in the aisles."

Well that review sounds like utter BOLLOCKS as we know the voice isn't "there", both from the GMA performance and the album itself.

So I think we can give that one the 90% LOON DISCOUNT

She performed "I Love the Lord" in 2008 and it was rather decent so I guess it's possible, and the Whitney loons were the first to point out that the voice wasn't there in the GMA performance.

According to those who saw the Oprah performance and interview, JESUS was in the studio and grown men were weeping in the aisles.

Another fan wrote that her voice sounded better than on the album and not hoarse at all. They certainly didn't think she sounded good at GMA.

Ugh I'm sure it will soar on iTunes and will be the next official single, but whatever gets her that top 40 hit I suppose.

    WHERE WAS BOBBI KRISTINA?

That for me as a massive Bobbi Kris fan is the key question

Some of those facial expressions in that clip might even top the classic MARY J BLIGE FACE for me

Has anyone managed to sing the long note at the end of A Song For You (3:49) without feeling like their lungs are about to self-implode? I'm gasping for air (ventilation) even before the key change. Try it - it's a killer.

I need to work on my breathing technique.

Is it me or is Oprah looking more BUTT UGLY as the years roll by? How she got the number one job on television I will never know.

I thought the crack would have rotted Whitney's teeth but they look great, all sparkly and white. Best teeth in the business. Any TRUE Whitney fan knows its all about the teeth, the voice is second.

She comes across very well there, you can tell she's a bit choosy with her phrasing but it doesn't seem like the defensive, guarded Whitney that we knew up until recently, very warm and composed.

YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING is my new meaningless phrase of choice

It will make a welcome addition to "Let's get THAT straight"

Really? Where? Presume you mean on import. I'd buy it as I'm not waiting til MID OCTOBER for the physical release. Judging by that short interview about Akon someone posted a few days ago, it seems she has mild brain damage. Ether that or she's completely dead behind the eyes. Such a shame. :(

I adore 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength'. I can see WHY it tends to get ranked as one of the weakest tracks, and I was totally underwhelmed by it at first, but it's totally the soundtrack to this comeback.

To me "I Look to You" is the one that screams comeback, regardless of how calculated it is, I love it. People tend to adore one and dislike the other, when really, they serve the same purpose and go about it in slightly different ways.

I don't really "dislike" 'I Look To You', I agree that they are essentially the same message in a fairly similar song. Maybe 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength' has more of an air of vulnerability about it which resonates.

I like her vox better on IDKMOS; they don't sound as manufactured with computers and the like and are much more natural seeming.

I personally prefer I Look To You

    It actually MOVES ME

"Sinking to rise no more" and "Nothing to do but lift my head" are my two favourite bits in any song this year

"I Look to You" is about 100x more RICH and classic Whitney, IDKMOS sounds cheap to me.

    DO they?

Seeing as they're pretty much no more than DIFFERENT sides of the VERY SAME COIN, I can't EXACTLY see people having WILDY different opinions of them EITHER WAY

It is rather bizarre but I totally understand it, look at Moopy, IDKMOS got a quite poor reaction upon its leak and ILTY got an excellent response (at least before M$B came) but maybe that's just the initial reactions

Adore one and dislike the other is MASSIVELY overstating it though. You might have voted IDKMOS out first in the Knockout but nobody else did.
