No thread and there's been two episodes already... SAYS IT ALL.

I've already spotted my face of hate for the series - Jack from Jack & Joel:

He reminded me of our very own Kala, if you're referring to the one on the left. I didn't dislike them. Or at least there were a few I disliked more :D

The big Scouse girl who had the Simon Cowell tattoo felt very low-rent/circa 2005, considering how polished and brushed the show has become.

I wish Goldie Cheung would re-audition.

I just read on digitalspy that she did Jeremy Kyle a few years back.

I really liked the black boy band at the start of Saturdays episode.
Especially the light skinned one with the white cap :horny::horny:

I'm on plus one as well. I'm not sure I can do this to myself based on that first group.

They'd be better off putting all five into a supergroup.

I'm struggling to believe this mother/daughter combo isn't a French and Saunders sketch.

Why do we get 90 mins of the crap random song/random groups, and only 30 mins of the good songs?

The producers really dropped the ball letting Ginger Bitch go.

It might pick up during the live shows, but this thread is just embarrassing now. I haven't watched a single episode of the show this year, bar a couple of auditions on YouTube. Even sites like Sofabet, which is usually buzzing is noticeably quieter this year.

The only reason I watched the show last year was for Saara, so it's unlikely I'll be bother at all this year, I mean Slavko? Really? Looking forward to Rodolfo Chikilicuatre next year!

Interestingly though, despite being TROUNCED by Strictly in the ratings, according to the dempoghraphics, more 16-25 year olds watch X Factor than Strictly. I guess that must be one of the only reasons that the show has not been canned..

Where did it say I wasn'y going to watch the live shows, babe?

I'll be away for 3 of the 6 weekends of live shows, and I have gigs 2 of the other weekends, so if I do watch any of it, it will be on catch up.

    It’s not exactly mind blowing.

16-25 year olds want to watch other 16-25 year old sing the hits of Spotify instead of seeing SEXY DEBBIE MCGEE shocker.

I've watched a bit more of it this year than I did last, at least at this stage. I don't think it's any better or worse than last year- it's been hobbling along for a few years now and this one doesn't feel any different.

Cowell said before Strictly began that he knows he can't compete with their audience and that he was aiming it squarely at younger viewers. He may be succeeding in pulling them in, but thankfully they are as resistant to Louisa Johnson as everyone else, it seems. Is there any word from Matt Terry, other than that Despacito rip off he was foisted on, and completely incidental to the success of?

I've watched most of it, but there's nobody I'm actively rooting for at all so far. Everybody is so vanilla. At least last year we had Saara serving us the goods by the live shows so I live in hope somebody emerges to fill that role this year.

The 2014 series with Fleur was the last series I felt properly invested in.

Last year I was more invested in it than pretty much any year ever, but that was solely down to Saara. Event then I didn’t watch it live but on catch up or YouTube.

As for Matt, no idea what he has been up to and there’s no sign of Saara releasing anything yet, but she is busy with X Factor Suomi I suppose. 5AM have released and flopped.

It feels to me that they are really tailoring it for a group to win this year, from what I have seen so far

I take it Matt Terry will release his single for the live shows? No word of anything that I have heard

They may as well give Grace the prize now, she's streets ahead.

Although Saara is signed to Sony, I feel like we won't be getting any music from her for a while. Matt will be less successful than even Cardle was.

Whatever happens with Saara with regards to her international career, I think she will be happy as she is now a HUGE NAME in Finland, and is probably set for life. It would be nice to see what she comes up with though as she was working with Sia and Diane Warren.

As for Matt - apparently he tweeted something is happening soon, so I imagine he'll release a single in November time.

To the interest of probably NO ONE - Matt's first single, Sucker For You, is out on Friday. Apparently 'inspired' by Charlie Puth. As if one wasn't enough...

My favourite thing from last year was Matt Terry's VT talking about how much he loves Christmas. I mean Christ, imagine Christmas with Matt Terry.
