I just had a listen now. It’s OK, but it sounds very like the Gabrielle Aplin version.

Drunk mums as well as uncontainably bewildered people who fancy James Arthur certainly have been busy on iTunes as this appears to be #1, for now at least :tongueout:

It was only Dalton and Anthony that got the most votes throughout the lives.

No major surprises with the stats although Shan was pretty high up for the first four weeks and then absolutely plummeted the week she was eliminated.

Shan really deserved to be Top 3 over Anthony but unfortunately she did not have the back story behind her.

I agree although I think that would have made for a very samey final. As awful as Anthony was across the three performances, he at least broke up the monotony of ballads. I guess most combinations would have resulted in the same thing. I wished Misunderstood had been better, just for some variety.

You are spot on actually darling now I think of it. Misunderstood were fabulous at the early stages, but fizzled out at the lives through no fault of their own I would assume.

The final averaged at 5.5 million and peaked at 7.5 million.Up on most of the series and watched by more than last years final but still not great.

I really don’t know if they can do anything to get more viewers next year.

Dalton has had to go back to Jamaica as his visa only allowed him to be in the country to take part in the show. :(

Simon Cowell's face is buried somewhere inside of there, completely enclosed in papier-mache. Lynchian!

    AXED.

Well not quite, Cowell wants to replace it with a celebrity version, because the last time that happened was a resounding success.

I’m not sure a celebrity version is what the world needs

I’d be here for a ‘Champions’ series though

Isn't Britain's Got Talent currently doing an 'All Stars' format?

It'd be a bit humiliating to compete, surely? Although the vast majority clearly wouldn't be in a position to turn it down.

Wonder if Leona would do it? :D

Something has been broadcast in America relatively recently that Susan Boyle got Mel B’s golden buzzer. I don’t know if it’s a World’s Got Talent or something similar?

I do wonder if anyone would even care about an All Star line up of The X Factor now? The likes of Olly Murs, Little Mix, and One Direction are not going to show up. This leaves us with the rest that are without a record deal that the public clearly don’t give a shit about, or they would have bought their records in the first place.

    Quite baffling.

There’s a champions format on America’s Got Talent that includes winners and finalists from across the series and from other countries

Would many of the X Factor alumni really be in a position to turn it down?

I’m ready for the return of Misha B :disco:

They should do it with artists who were big in the 80's or 90's but whose careers have tanked since...they did something similar before, taking people like Tony Hadley and the guy out of Go West around the US. I think Shakin' Stevens won? I may be mixing up two shows, mind you.

If it wasn’t for Moopy, I’d be convinced that Reborn In The USA was a bizarre dream I had.

I only watched a couple of episodes but there was a distinctly surreal feeling about the whole thing.

So what was the thing Shaky won, given that I definitely have mixed up two different programmes?

Oh, did Mark Shaw not get drunk and piss everyone off or something? I think he put his cigarette out in someone's dinner but he was so pissed he didn't notice it was actually his own plate.

Oh was Shakin Stevens on that show called Hit me baby one more time? I think that had the likes of Cleopatra and Kelly Marie on it as well.

Oh yes. Let’s release a non story about the X Factor in February to drum up some publicity when no one could really give a toss (other than me) when it airs in SEPTEMBER.
