I didn't say it wasn't; I said it was a SIMPLER song than Genie In A Bottle.
There is nothing that get queens going quite like a Britney vs Christina discussion
I'm loving reading all the entries, except when it comes to Britney comparisons. That's one obvious field that Xtina loons should try to avoid at all costs because it makes you sound so delluded! Like claiming that Dirrty is the most important female single of the last 15 years or that people rather hear Genie over BOMT these days. That' just WRONG! Xtina won the VOX dispute from day one. Britney basically won everything else.
Britney's biggest win was a lifetime supply of prozac. Xtina's was the GIFT of ATISTRY. I know which I would take!
I'm not sure that Britney being unable to function as a human being counts as WINNING. But yes, she's had the more successful career.
I would actually say this is where each WINS:
A bigger star
More interest in her life
More dramatic career meltdown
Used to be a better dancer
More enduring/classic songs
Better live performer
More interesting personality
Better grip on reality
Able to walk unaided
As if EITHER have the slightest bearing on reality
At least Christina knows which CITY she's in!
As a MOTHER, as a woman fighting the fight for other people in her position (women), and as somebody who is frankly too heavy to float, I think it's fair to say Xtina is FIRMLY GROUNDED.
Oi Britney can read just fine

When you're having to default to BASIC LITERACY to give Christina as many wins as Britney, you know you're on a hiding to nothing.
I thought for a minute that was going to be the chillay clip
OMG the CHILLAY clip The behind the scenes for her fashion line or some shit are gold too.
I um...think this jacket...it's very cool...very girly......i like it...* awkward silence*
The ultimate question:
Britney's British accent or X-Tina's dabble with Ebonics circa 2002-4
I guess Christina considering her commitment to the cause in actually changing RACES for the said period
XTINA. Was the 2002 VMA's the debut of Blacktina?
YO WASS UP NEW YAWK
Consulting THE TIMELINE it would seem so
I think we need some clips of Blacktina and Britishney to really call this one. Both were fabulous.

lol at these britney fans eww
WAZZUP NU YORK CIDDEE?
It always gets to this stage. Though, really, it is a stupid comparison. To a non-fan of either they may seem in competition/interchangeable, but anyone who has a bit of love for pop music can see that they are worlds apart in as far as what they are trying to achieve. Xtina is obvsiouly trying to reinvent the wheel and is genuinely interested in creating 'concepts', which I respect. Britney has merely being a vehicle for MAX TRACKS since '04 with a combined input of about 3.5 hours worth of work. It just comes down to whether you actually require personality/input to enjoy music or you don't give a shit, really.
I do think the image of Britney fans vs Christina fans is quite interesting. I know a few of each, and the Xtina fans that I've come across are the far more reserved, probably more low-key and maybe would come across as slightly 'classier'. It's the Britney fans that are the hot mess, 'free spirits', ballsy type bitches. Pretty much a reverse of the respective artists Though naturally this is based on about four Australian gays so hardly an accurate investigation.
Anyhoo, I am very happy to admit Genie is a fantastic single. Sounds much better nowadays than it did at the time for me. It's one of the few vocal attempts I can handle from her. I'll be shocked if Fighter takes this out
I am listening to I Turn To You on repeat. Sometimes a Diane Warren identiballad with a key change is ALL YOU NEED
It's nice enough, but has got nothing on the best dead dad song of all time Because You Loved Me.
I am fond! Can someone do a Diane Warren ballad Spotify playlist? For You I Will is a MUST
I don't think I can, but I Don't Want To Be Your Friend would be my choice.
Poor old Diane is a tricky one - for every stone cold sickly smash she's had, there's also acres of drivel. She also seems to be quite polarising amongst the pop cogniscienti - no one quite likes exactly the same stuff... for all I detest "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing", it's clearly got quite a fan base. On the flipside, I think "There You'll Be" is quite marvellous, whereas I'm sure the general opinion is that it is strictly second rate.
Can't believe she's never marched home with an Oscar though - she seems like perfect Academy Award fodder. I blame Hollywood's innate homophobia.

Come on and give us your WORST!
I am hot with anticipation for this finale.
Take it home, "You Lost Me"!
Lou, can we have a Janet rate after this one? I don't think we've ever had one here.
I'm working towards a TANTRIC CLIMAX with this one
I hope you don't all finish off on your own
I would finish tonight but I need to have dinner with my BF's ex and his former fuck buddy
Now that's a dinner party
But will the dinner party feature body fucking?
The things I do to LOOK SOPHISTICATED
surely there's never been a better time to talk about Christina's best two self-help tracks?
It sounds like you're going to need to feel EMPOWERED tonight bbz
Why do you do these things to yourself ? I mean X-Tina would not allow it so why should you.
Phoenix I am LIVING OUT the ENTIRE XT back cat in this relationship
Name a legendary track and I have lived it
You're like Carrie in Paris, lunching with Petrovsky's ex!
