In the episodes where several of them go to Scarborough she tells Rodney her secret, although no one knows what it is. It's good not knowing for once but it really is bound to be an illness I think. It's supposed to be a "tragic" secret anyway. Jack and Val follow them to Scarborough (they go for a funeral) with both of them convinced they're having an affair. And Cain to admit he fancies Debbie? His DAUGHTER? Oh and speaking of her, she kisses Ethan the priest soon..

That's whose funeral they go to, but I don't think that's what the secret is about. She appears to be worrying about something recently so I can't imagine it's to do with the bloke who dies, cos why would she be worrying about it now? From reading the spoilers everyone is shocked and Jack is really upset, so it all seems to add up to something health-related...who knows though..
She just leaves a pan on the stove and it catches fire, but it's not much more than that. I suppose after burning down the church they didn't want to have her burn down another building
