90s icon of Beverley Hills 90210 fame. He had what's been described as a 'massive' stroke a couple of days ago. Only 52. :(

I seem to recall thinking he was hot back in the day, but a quick review suggests he was 90s hot rather than a timeless beauty.

I absolutely LOVED him in 90210 and more recently have enjoyed watching him in Riverdale.

RIP. :(

Moopy has reached the age where our childhood icons are dying.

Fuck.

He was always quite a bit older than the rest of the 90201 cast, wasn't he?

Although yes, this is going to be increasingly common.

I'll be a wreck when the first Spice Girl goes. :(

I was reading an article about how inconsolable Shannon Doherty has been over the stroke, she must be heartbroken. :(

Ian Ziering and the actress who played Andrea were the oldest in the cast.

God I loved Beverly Hills 90210 :(

I remember Luke Perry doing When Harry Met Sally in the West End. Didn’t he save an audience member’s life once when he jumped off stage as a light fixture was about to fall on their head?

Andrea was literally 78.

I think he fits a certain type. Rangy and moody. I know I'd still have had a go.

I am reading he had recently signed up for a 90210 reboot. I did not know anything of a reboot?

I never liked him on 90210, but Dylan as a character is part of my childhood.

RIP

Yes, apparently there's a sort of a reboot happening. I saw Tori Spelling talking about it, but I really didn't understand the concept behind it.

Reading further it seems it is a one off hour long spoof episode where the actors will come back playing exaggerated versions of their characters. :manson:

That sounds like a terrible idea. I thought I read that he hadn't signed up for it - the others were in, apart from Shannen maybe less than surprisingly.

I was a bit shocked to read that the original series went on until 2000, I assumed it was all done by the mid-nineties.

I got all of the DVDs and have watched them all the way through 3 times. Is it on streaming anywhere? I fancy a BH90210 binge.

several of the original cast will be back but I don't remember exactly who

I am reading varying stories saying just Shannen was not on board, then Luke and Shannen were the only 2 not on board.

GOD KNOWS.

Luke Perry had just finished filming 'Once upon a time in Hollywood' with Tarantino - I doubt he'd sign up to 90210 with that on the horizon.

Have just recently discovered Pluto.TV and they have a whole channel that constantly shows BH90210, the reboot and Melrose Place :disco:
