Mariah's Caution Tour IS HEADED TO EUROPE

Are we expecting an updated Fun for Europe setlist?

Are we expecting an updated Fun for Europe setlist?

The FUN FOR EUROPE bit was Without You as the encore. 85 minutes of mildly exhausting strutting up and down the stage. The best part was the audience actually BELIEVING she can still do those whistle tones live. She wheeled out her kids during Always Be My Baby which was really cute. I feel like watching Glitter now.

What percentage of the vocals were actually live do you think? I thought she actually sounded quite decent for the parts I think were live.

I don't know. She did sound very good overall. But the whistles sounded the way they did on the albums, which is not very likely for her these days. It was all a bit too good to be true, wasn't it?

Kind of, but I genuinely do feel that a lot of it was live, and most of the live stuff was really pretty good indeed. I think her voice just happens to be in a pretty good place right now. Her low and middle range sounded wonderful!

Ok so this was the best I’ve ever seen her (admittedly only 4times) but this show was giving me life (and it’s EVERYTHING!!!)

If you’re going to see it and don’t want spoilers stop reading.

It is a show for the lambily without alienating the middle aged casual Mariah fan who liked her in the 90s. When Bianca came out I screamed. When she fought her like the toilet scene and did a (not very) high kick I died. Seeing her do Never Too Far live resuscitated me and her vocals on Love Takes Time took me straight to heaven.

Vocals on the whole were fantastic, a couple of moments we’re undoubtedly lipped but for real guys... I totally think she was serving us the goods fresh.

She interacted with stage left SO much, signing programmes, T-shirt’s, gave one queen her feather boa... only to take it back a few minutes later. If I was stage right I’d have been pissed.

The imagery and staging is the best I’ve ever seen her do, there was real effort in this show and not just phoned in. She seems to be in a great place and it was an outstanding showcase. My only gripe is the lack of Caution tracks but since a lot of people used the title track as a bathroom break I guess we know why.

Get tickets and go if you can... It was sensational.

She whispered to her pianist about doing something special but said it would have to be tomorrow night... so I hope you enjoy whatever it is!!

Oh my other negative is that the merch was shit. There is SO much good stuff on her website and she brought none of it.

The UK leg of the tour and her vocals in particular seem to be getting RAVES almost universally :disco: how was it for you @Suomi?

Well this was really good. She was late which I really admire as a general trait, and then when she got on stage it was all go. A great blend of old and new songs and she was in really good spirits. I would wager that about 98% had not actually heard the Caution album though, but she took those horses to the water and she made them drink :disco:

My personal favourite part was Loverboy which she completely mimed. There's something very sonically strange about that song, it sounds wrong and yet works, like peanut butter and cheese in a sandwich.

I did not care fore Endless Love so went to the toilet; I wish they'd had have done Whenever You Call as that is my favourite Mariah song. As I left the toilet this woman shouted RAINBOW! at my Rainbow album cover t-shirt. I think she wanted to be gay with me and having a straight woman/gay man moment but I couldn't be bothered so I just said "I know" and walked back in.

Bianca coming out on stage and having a physical fight with Mariah shows why she's #1 in the game and that she knows how to cater for all the lambs on her spectrum of lambs. When the warm-up guy played Whitney Houston my fiancé (omg) pointed out to me that because Mariah is primarily a songwriter she doesn't have any of Whitney's floorfiller signature dance songs, because she's only ever written for herself in her style. This idea stuck with me throughout the concert, with me slightly in awe of such a rich and diverse catalogue, and what a talented writer.

My bag and coat got stolen on Friday nigh, including the engagement ring I proposed with that we were going to get resized, so this was a nice way to heal that harmbracelet moment. 5 stars.

In my head Make It Happen is a floorfiller :disco:

You know what it is? It's the barely audible soft vocals over the really clunky Cameo sample...which would've been different if it wasn't for a certain talentless whore.

god I need Loverboy in Spotify now, it's overdue

I’m still not over this show. It was everything.

@Suomi were there any special moments? She wanted to do something Saturday night but was told it’s not possible so she said they’d do it Sunday. What was it!?
