Maybe the songs are not as individually strong, but collectively as a cohesive album Body Language is my favourite.

Fever, with soft spots for Impossible Princess, Light Years and Bowel Leakage

All four for me as well, but if I had to choose it would be Light Years. It feels the most complete and it’s pure joy from start to finish (and feels less ”robotic” than Fever).

Without a doubt Fever. More More More sets the tone for the record perfectly and it never loses steam throughout. The artwork, videos and b-sides are all fabulous as well.

I like Light Years a lot more in hindsight, but at the time it felt like a welcome return but a bit too gay for want of a less self-loathing word. A bit too fluffy and insubstantial.

Fever felt like the comeback has been successful with Light Years, but now it was time to take over the world

Honestly with Kylie having her biggest hit in years with that gif I should revisit some of her albums this weekend.

This is me 100%

It’s one of those albums that I can go a year without listening to, but once I do, I slip into it and have to listen to every track. There isn’t a bad song on it to me - the only Kylie album I can say that about.

Impossible Princess is probably a close second.

I’d probably say ‘X’.

Although I recognise and accept its shortcomings in terms of cohesiveness, lead single and lack of 'White Diamond' (Showgirl Homecoming mix), it's definitely the album I've spent the most time with.

There are some tremendous highs - and being honest I don't really hate the lows ('Nu-Di-Ty' has never bothered me that much). And whilst the downbeat numbers are nowhere near as personal as they could have been, I still think there is a lovely sense of introspection about them.

I like the fact that there's a bit of something for almost every occasion. For whilst I share the love for 'Body Language', it definitely IS a "mood" album and that's fine when I'm in the mood, but when I'm not it's quite a difficult album.

I suspect in years to come, 'Golden' might actually be up there as well. Maybe it's a bit too soon to say, but again I love that it goes a bit eclectic towards the end with the bonus tracks.

i don’t really think of X as an album :D it’s more a selection of songs from the hundreds they recorded over that period. :D

I rarely ever listen to Kylie albums in the same way as i do Madonna’s or Dannii’s. She’s very much a make-your-own-playlist of best bits artist for me.

I guess Impossible Princess would be the one I would choose to listen to all the way through, so THAT. Or Light Years if i’m feeling particularly fruity which ISN'T VERY OFTEN

I struggle to find anything THAT BAD from her. Even her weaker albums have at least one or two 10/10 max tracks (are we still using that term?).

That's what makes her the best overall 'pop princess' to me. I find her more consistent than Madonna or Britney. And light years more likeable. *teehee*

I don't think I have a favourite Kylie album. As someone said before she's such a jukebox artist.

Rhythm of Love, closely followed by the magnificent and underrated X.

This thread had me thinking of a ranking yesterday. Fairly sure Aphrodite would be near the bottom of mine.

I listened to Aphrodite last night, looked at the credits and came to the conlusion that she should have written the entire album with Stuart Price.

Mine is probably Golden and then Body Language (though it has a couple of duds), closely followed by X and then Rhythm Of Love.

‘Aphrodite’ hangs together well. But it’s comparable to Girls Aloud’s ‘Chemistry’ for me, in that all the elements are there and on paper it should work. But it feels like the product of a corporate brainstorm.

But that's pretty much exactly what half of Kylie's albums are, isn't it?
