Self isolation ideas sharing

It's annoying me the screenshot on that so called Expert one shows the "cheese" bit not properly on the base...

then please enjoy it. I have watched several of these videos and I still don’t know if the tone is instructional, or just reading all participants to filth

I see people are getting their Christmas lights out again. I'm so up for that.

I suggested it to Mr Sheena, but he wasn't having any of it. Said it will take away from PROPER Christmas.

I can see his point...

Oh and GARDENING if you have a garden (more lockdown than self isolation). But even if in a flat and/or you have a balcony you could grow veg, potted plants etc.

I'm doing lots of TRIMMING. the previous planted fucking bamboo, I'll probably have to call in an explosives team

if I were at home right now I'd probably be in the kitchen a lot. get my sourdough back in business, make muesli, can chillies and tomatoes. maybe even a lovely SAUERKRAUT

as it is, books and podcasts and the occassional 15 minutes of work before the connection goes wonky again

I've already started faffing around in the garden. Good time for it all, plus I panic bought plants.

Oh god all the plants in garden centres will die if they have to close.

Let's start PICKLING

if Mr M had got me more than 100ml malt vinegar from his latest UK trip I could've made those delicious pickled onions

I have started drawing again, and am really enjoying it. I’m taking a break just now for a coffee, ciggy and a Moopy update.

My PLANS once I feel better are to start my pile of unread books and embarrassingly huge backlog of Private Eyes, and go out running.

Given that I'm still working, I don't have any actual plans for myself. Nights out are rare anyway.

Main thing I'm doing is making any new music free for download - it's always Name Your Price on Bandcamp but I've gone completely free and issuing codes to people. I did a new chill-out piece on Monday and I'm doing a compilation of a side project this weekend.

That was my concern. Fucking Trump.

I hear you.

Whilst I think the smilie is sufficiently non-specific, the actual pic should be consigned to the "well, that dated badly" bucket.

Reading
Watching tv shows and movies
Cleaning out your closet
Proper cleaning of all cupboards etc
Replanting your plants/gardening
Body weight training

Thinking of trying the "no poo" method :) @Rita what do you reckon

If you are self isolating and not worrying about greasy hair for the first week or 2 then go for it. Really we wash our hair far too much, and I try to just got for twice a week now. If you wash your hair daily or every other day initially it will likely be pretty greasy.

I'm taking up YOGA in my front room, I think there's someone who will be live streaming :disco:

I do need a mat though

That adult coloring book that I’ve been lugging around with me for the last year and a half is finally gonna have its moment.

Use your commute time to go for a walk (lockdown permitting). Shower before you start work and dress smartly enough for a casual day at the office. Get out at lunchtime for a run. Keep your work hours roughly the same as they would be in the office if you can.

Also it can feel good to feel like the hottest version of yourself. So at least a couple of evenings a week, dress up a bit, as if you're getting ready for on a night out or a date. Shave/trim. Moisturise. Pluck. Do your hair. Pick something from the fanciest bit of your wardrobe. Nicest underwear. Spritz of cologne! :disco:

Get a hayu subscription and let your brain drift away watching meaningless tat made by Bravo TV :disco:

Stock up on wine OBVIOUSLY, and try to set a daily routine - get up the same time, exercise, shower etc.

I would also highly recommend spending time NOT ONLINE if you can

I realised a routine of exercise and meals is essential to stay sane.

Also fight boredom playing Family Fortunes :)

I think I'm going to buy some LEGO.

Lot of effort to eat crisps and have a wank.

That dated badly now I'm in self-iso!!!

Books and music for me. Just finished Brett Anderson's autobiography. Actually really great although he still obviously detests Damon Albarn and Blur (neither of whom he mentions by name but simply by waspish allusions). Apparently he caved and wrote another volume about the group's success.
