coming back after what feels like forever this sunday!

i'm so jazzed i couldn't upload my excitement if i tried.

I'd forgotten this was coming back until I heard last week, which was a NICE SURPRISE. :disco::disco::disco:

It looks so good, season 2 was a bit convoluted but I have fond memories of it. It was a satisfying end and this feels fresh.

watched a couple of recap/explainers and i still have no idea what the hell is going on but i don't mind.

this is the simpler, somewhat better at explaining one:

this is the funner, more convoluted one:

(though there's particularly cruel maeve/curb your enthusiasm joke in the previous one that made me feel like a very bad person)

i'm ready for dinner and westworld. my whole day has been leading up to this.

can't wait for nothing to happen but for things to make even less sense *.*

I don't think I care anymore. It got way too convoluted in the last season.

Well this season feels very simple. Like only one timeline? It doesn’t feel right.

i lived!

apart from the last dolores scene (just seemed a bit obvious).

but yeah. everything about that was amazing. it's definitely broadening up its appeal and i'm sure the great unwashed will tune in very soon.
and there will be twists, phoe, i can feel it in some of my original bones!

ugh, everything about that was so great...

the mood t-shirt. dolores finally out of that drab wild west and serving casual reveal fridays. the music (sevdaliza and pulp). even the action scenes.

i want to binge the whole thing immediately!

it's even more nolan now, very horny for tech and gadgets

I am not ecstatic but I'm definitely ready

I hope you ladies stayed for the end credit scene.

ugh, i hated this episode. it just felt sloppy and lazy.

not pleased at all.

I’m the opposite. I loved it, much better than the premier. Maeve just makes everything better.

I'm glad we got another layer of complexity, it was starting to be a bit simple :)

It was fun to slowly work out that it’s a simulation when everything felt a bit off. And I liked the little maintenance robot (rip Harriet).

Also the GoT cameos made me smile.

there was a rick and morty episode with the simulation gag!

anyway, while i obviously cannot wait for maeve vs dolores, i have to say i am enjoying dolores world immensely more for now. yes, it's pretty straightforward for now, but it's pretty great.

maybe seeing erw out of that drab costume and into her fifty-shades-of-black tighter-than-whitney sexy outfits has made me crazy.

none of it is especially new, like the third episode. It’s just a good cast and looks gorgeous. Also I believe it was this obvious in the first two seasons but a lot more convoluted in the way it was told just to mask it.

i think it does a great job of switching it up and i feel quite invested in charlotte (though i'm not a fan of thompson), dolores and caleb as characters. obviously maeve too but she's still doing the same thing!

i'm sure there will be twists but even without, there's more than enough for me.

so who has she put in the body of Charlotte Hale? I can't figure it out

I had a 'I don't like where this is headed' moment during episode 3, sappy script and scenes too short to settle, and I feel like the cool cars and gadgets are mainly there to fill out the lack of depth

the locations are everything though, the Valencia buildings, Serac's mansion (a cement-factory-turned-home outside Barcelona) :disco:

I just assumed they all know each other by now but why should they. And Teddy makes most sense.

there are a few theories for now including wyatt, teddy, clementine, the blonde hostess-turned-warrior whose name i forget and even a far-fetched one that says it's aaron paul's character with timeline fuckery involved.
