Wogan's back. But I think ASFE 1981 proved he's more tolerable in the national finals, and he didn't really deserve to die until it all went to shit for the UK in the new millennium.

This is a midweek extra, and don't panic if you're not up for it, as I think it's safe to say this is not a vintage year. Very beige songs, and a disappointing voting system at the end. Don't feel bad if you miss out. I wouldn't be surprised if I nod off myself around song six.

Are we still not pushing these out on the STILL inactive Moopy Twitter and getting some of the Eurovision gang in the “know” to retweet when there is a ripe audience of Eurovision loons stuck at home for the picking?

Sigh. I give up.

I'm on the early shift at work so I'll need to be hitting the hay, I'm afraid.

Well this is not exactly selling it, I might pass :zombie:

Wait - WHY have we chosen it then exactly?! :D

Is it in 30 minutes? Let's see if I can have dinner before that and I might give it a try, but it doesn't look promising.

I'm doing it as I have fuck all else to do but fuck me you really not selling it hun! Although probably good to MANAGE EXPECTATIONS, given how hateful we've all been in the Song for Moopy.

This is the first time I've seen you post in ANY OF THEM!!

Not remotely of interest to me for reasons I’ve given elsewhere.

Promoting Moopy, on the other hand, very much is...

It is TWEETED.

HOORAY!

Now get some of the Moopy Eurovision lot to retweet and hopefully might get someone in. Albeit a bit late for tonight, but who knows?

(#Eurovisionagain is the usual hashtag they use for their nonsense which we can steal!)

I'll happily work through ALL of them. And if there are weaker ones (and others MAY DISAGREE), better to throw them out as a bonus than interfere with the timetable.

If it's any consolation, the first guy is just about the most fuckable I've seen for the UK in any of these rewatches.

Oh god everyone’s already too RILED up after Blackout. He’ll be RIPPED TO SHREDS.

By all means let’s promote but can i request we DON’T steal their hashtag - the goal is to raise as much money for Mermaids and other LGBT charities that are going to struggle during this crisis, so I don’t want to mess with the work that is going on around that

Btw, I uploaded MYMU 2005 but it wasn't added to any night. Not that it has to be and I would happily upload it anyway, but I thought there was some interest?

choose a date and I’ll add it on - I think there’s one untucked currently which is looking to be filled

I didn't realise that the bloke who wrote A Message To Your Heart also wrote Sinitta's attempt in 1983, and Hazell Dean's in 1976. As well as a few which actually won.

Nice to know he was always AIMING HIGH.

That's her

No idea about any work outside of Eurovision, but if you can't manage to inject a bit of ZHUZH into proceedings in Eurovision, I don't hold out much hope for work out of it.

I just had a look at those Sinitta and Hazell songs...

I won't again.

The Sinitta one serves a purpose. Hazell, on the other hand...:gross:

Nice to see her in a pretty frock, though.
