What about Unbreakable? I think that outsold Caution and Madame X in the USA but did very little outside. But I think if it's included in the poll then it would take some votes away from Golden and Madame X!

But Unbreakable was released 2015, and the others 2018-2019. The market collapsed significantly between those dates, so I'm not certain sales comparisons would be entirely fair.

I was quite frankly amazed that 'Golden' stuck around in the UK charts for as long as it did, but Kylie remains eternally-likeable and her Glastonbury set did none of her sales any harm, even if it wasn't as amazing as Janelle or Christine and the Queen's. We'll leave Janice out of it.

According to wikipedia though, Unbreakable had sold 253k in the US alone as of April 2016.

In the UK album sales have been dropping about 25% year on year recently. I doubt if other countries are dissimilar.

I would be a bit torn between 'Unbreakable' and 'Madame X', both were definitely returns to form. Kylie's 'Golden' was a bit meh, is that it?!?

Glastonbury didn't do anything for Golden, it was long since out of the chart by then. The Step Back In Time compilation capitalised on Glastonbury.

I bow to your superior Kylie knowledge of course. I just remember it being in the charts for a VERY long time and given the lack of massive singles, I just assumed.

I do have the 'Step Back In Time' deluxe three disc edition, if that scores me any Kylie points. My Dad bought it for me after I Marie Kondo-ed all my Kylie CD's.

What about Caution? Honestly I'd say it's my favourite Mariah album probably.

I need to give Unbreakable a proper listen.

Unbreakable is a very good album, for me Caution still wins though.

To be perfectly honest, I had absolutely no idea she was still going and had released anything. So really, it was between 'Golden' and 'Madame X' for me and I should have been clearer about that with my vote. I do apologise. Being absolutely frank, I'd probably rank a Nadine Coyle or Sinitta album released at the same time, higher than I would Mariah.

Given that it's you though Suedey and that I have tons of nostalgic respect for your extremely good taste in music, I will give it a go.

Obviously I’d add MISS KIMBERLEY WALSH to that equation. Such a winning and breathtakingly sultry way with a melody :disco:

I was thinking Letitia Dean myself - goodness me, that woman really was cruelly robbed of a multi-platignum recording career - but AS GOOD AS! :disco:

Poor Letitia severely underestimated Su Pollard's music-biz contacts.

If Letitia had returned the bottle of Su's poppers she "borrowed", chart history might tell a different tale!

Lamb Police.
Everybody get in the van.

Oh I think it’s a bit late in the day to be caring about THAT :tongueout:
