Kylie - Real Groove

It's kind of like Dua is singing karaoke to Kylie at her New Years Eve house party for one but doesn't know any of the words to the verses.

More of an actual remix than I was expecting. The added touches to the production are really nice and almost more noticeable than the addition of Dua. It makes the song even more danceable. I think they sound great together.

Dua's one of the few artists of the last few years to release music that makes me happy in the way Kylie's does so I love seeing their names together.

i just cannot get this out of my head :eyes:
Just SO GOOD

With Santa Baby currently at No 31 this week - could it be possible that she gets two Top 40 songs in a row with this?! When was the last time that happened!?

I just hope Dua helps promote this! Would
Love it to go Top 20 at least!

(ps why is no one talking about the chart success of Santa Baby, I love that it’s slowly becoming a Christmas classic and continues to chart, and climb every year. So close to the Top 30 this week. Hopefully top20 next Christmas!)

It isn't going top 40. Perhaps if they had got a physical out at the same time.

Oh I've been mentioning it. I'm glad she has a Christmas hit. She deserves it. That said I don't especially like it.

Yeah I'm pleased she's in the mix. The song isn't a favourite of mine either though. Don't think I heard her version (or the album) at all.

Dua spent yesterday promoting a self-deprecating video she's made for Vogue in which she essentially parodies her early lack of dance/stage-presence skills by presenting a "masterclass". Haven't seen it but she's good in the trailer.

7" Green vinyl available to pre-order now, with Studio 2054 mix on the b-side.

Release date 30th April :goodgrief:

They won’t be able to get it pressed. Vinyl is already backed up even before Covid. I mean, isn’t the new Taylor Swift album not coming out until May or something?

This the song I've most enjoyed since say, All the Lovers, so I'm hoping for a dozen format EXTRAVAGANZA to get this to NUMERO UNO!

The Dua remix really is a bawp. I mean, it's not on Say Something levels, but it's such a nice treat. Disco is slowly revealing itself to be her best album in years.

Still love this song.

How has it done on streaming compared to the first two singles?

Real Groove is, quite shockingly, #20 in the UK midweeks thanks to the vinyl release https://www.officialcharts.com/char...w-entry-on-the-official-singles-chart__33053/

It will obviously collapse from there as the week goes on, but if it can somehow cling on to the top 50 it will be the highest charting single from Disco

I'd be happy if it got a second week in the top 100 and outdid its #95 peak from January

I think it will stay top 100 but lower than Magic and Say Something, which were #16 and #18 in the first flashes. Nice to see it top 20 even just on one update though.

It may be alright. That should be after four days so with only three to go if they can just hold on...I’m thinking around #90.

The first chart look update thing doesn't ever include streaming, does it? Steps were top 20 the other week as well two weeks in a row and immediately disappeared the next day.

I think it only includes Friday streams and the rest are sales? As it’s weighed heavily towards sales but not so much so that too many random ones get in as a day of streaming adds a solid chunk to the chart hits. Did Steps make the first look recently? :o
