Would you have the vaccine if you were offered it right now?

Would you?

This pushed me into the No camp. Luckily I'm already immune because of the natural medicine included in marijuana.

December 2020 edition.

I've had an email through to say I'm in group 2 of the vaccine roll out, so we'll be offered it soon. Right now though I'm not sure I want it, it just all seems so new.

Would you?
Have you been offered it soon because of the Job you do?

So, according to an online vaccine calculator, based on a million a week getting the jab, this is when I can expect to get vaccinated:

Based on your profile, there are between 12,305,865 and 18,074,125 people in front of you in the queue for a COVID vaccine across the UK.

Given a vaccination rate of 1,000,000 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your two doses of vaccine and be fully protected by between 24/06/2021 and 13/09/2021.

I got 2022!

Yes, because we're front line and can't distance from people. This week they said we're about 4 weeks away from getting it.

I'm totally on board with it now btw!
That's exciting!! Good for you. I'm assuming dentists will be high up as well.

Not vets yet.

One of my friends had it 2 weeks ago. No short term side effects so far.

Mine has also changed from July to September this year to January to July 2022

Hoping I hear something when I get back to work. Some of my colleagues have had it already - just luck that their vaccination hub had some spare.

Do you think there’ll be a BLACK MARKET for VACCINATIONS?

I’m helping out in the vaccine clinic at work all this week 8-6 so I hope I’m offered a FREEBIE.

INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS.

Literally.

I mean, the question is whether you're more afraid of getting COVID (and PASSING IT ON) or whether you're more worried about potential side-effects of a COVID vaccine, isn't it? I know where I land on that one.

Same here. Can’t wait to be slammed and be done with it, almost only so that I won’t risk passing it on to others.

There's bound to be a way for rich people to jump the queue, although I'm impressed that it doesn't seem to have happened so far.

Do they do ID checks? Could I send someone of a similar age in my place?

My friend works at a doctor's surgery and has offered to get me in sooner if possible. I feel guilty so not sure I can accept.

What do they do? I'd be surprised if they could unless it can be well justified. Or at least they would be in serious trouble if it was discovered.

She works at the surgery offering vaccs. Last clinic they had they sent letters to everyone who was eligible but some didn't turn up. They couldn't let the vaccs go to waste so they let staff and family members have them

Well if they do have a surplus and that's genuine, then why not? If it is genuinely going to waste otherwise then I don't think I'd feel guilty.

I know it probably doesn't seem quite right when there are other vulnerable people still not having it, but that's exactly how it has happened here due to surpluses in some areas and shortages in others. My colleagues who had it were all called with an hour's notice or so.

Yeah I guess. It just seems a bit unfair that is get it but others needing more might not.

Hopefully everyone needing it will attend tho!

Well that's the other issue as well, those who don't attend. As much as I'd prefer all the vulnerable to get it, I'd rather anyone get it than it be wasted.

RACHEY - HAVE THE VACCINE AS SOON AS YOU ARE ABLE TO!

Amazing!! This is fantastic news!! :)

I did not realise this was a month old! So are you due soon then?

I am theoretically getting it in the next few months because of my job, but I doubt the state of Georgia is going to get its shit together well enough for that.

To answer the question, YES. If someone showed up at my door with a needle right this second, I'd let them stab me

We were only told the 4 week thing a few days ago, so possibly by end of Jan for the first jab. A few of my colleagues are still saying no though
