We don’t seem to have one for 2021, so this will be it.

I’ve already managed to finish some shows off my long HBO watchlist:

09 We Are Who We Are
06 The New Pope
09 Industry
04 His Dark Materials (Season 2)
05 The Flight Attendant

Really enjoyed We Are, and Industry. Lots of interesting characters and some hot eye candy in both shows.

New Pope and His Dark Materials were both an improvement to their first seasons. The latter mostly saved by the Susan Surandon lookalike whom I found charming.

The Flight Attnedant is really such a stupid show, doesn’t even feel like an HBO show (what’s the difference between HBO originals and HBO Max?), but it had some great female characters and was addictive.

Now that I’ve caught up with all new releases, I think I’ll start watching Boardwalk Empire.

I mercifully finished Sabrina but tragically thought I’d watch Dawson’s Creek again, now it’s on Netflix. There’s not a single likeable character here apart from maybe Jen.

how disappointing, I have deep nostalgia for season 2 for some reason (I guess the gay guy came in)

I finished Ramy which was excellent.

10 Derry Girls
08 Murder on Middle Beach

I’m currently watching Real Housewives of New York and rewatching Letterkenny

I am also on season 5 of my Lost rewatch and finishing season 5 of Superstore.

It’s cute, I enjoy it a lot more than something like Brooklyn 99.

Did anyone watch Finding Alice last night? I recorded it, but the adverts for it are quite ROPEY. Worth a watch?

I like Superstore, though (not unusually) by the fifth season its appeal was on the wane.

I've recorded Finding Alice but it seems to have received a mixed (not very good) reaction.

I would love to rewatch all of Lost with someone who’s never watched it before.

I’m doing it with a rewatch podcast. So I watch a bunch of episodes and then let the podcast episodes catch up.

Is the full series of The Bay available to view? I’m sure I heard that on an advert earlier, but can only find episode 1.

All episodes are showing as available on my Sky box. I haven't watched last night's yet though.

I've only just started watching Superstore but am halfway through S2 already. It's a nice easy watch.

I do like the cover versions that soundtrack the slightly surreal background moments and Sandra is so very special.

I see that a Cheyenne and husband spin off is in the works. I am not so sure about that to be honest, she's great in the ensemble but he is a bit much even in small doses.

I’m so glad Sandra’s role seems to be gradually increasing :disco:

I watched the first couple properly, but then semi gave up on it while Mr L binged the rest over the last couple of nights.

Far too soapy for my liking.

I binged season 2 of Blown Away on Netflix. There’s something very relaxing about watching glass getting blown and made. So many pretty colors.

Yes, I did that in one sitting as well. Don't think I enjoyed it quite as much as the first season, at least when it came to the final, perhaps because it didn't feel like there was as much tension between the competitors.

Last year it felt to me like the final two were very different characters with wildly different aesthetics, and the whole series was set up to make you side with one or the other. This year, it felt more open which was better in many respects - one of the finalists I didn't see coming at all until over halfway through - but equally I didn't feel invested it the same way in the outcome.

I'm struggling a bit with the last series of Spiral, it doesn't feel as gripping as usual. I miss old judge man.

In hot ITV drama chat I was not terribly impressed with the first episode of Finding Alice but The Bay was better.

Junior Bake Off is a midweek NIGHTLY JOY

I watched all of Finding Alice over two nights. It was a bit nothingy, Rahshan Stone was the highlight.

Fate: The Winx Saga on Netflix, another middling teen fantasy drama. Good cast though including Rob James-Collier.

I missed the end of Finding Alice entirely, but from what Mr L tells me, it didn't have one anyway, did it? Clearly set up for a second series.

I have to say I don't particularly like Keeley Hawes much. Or at least she has to have a really good part to make me like her. And Alice wasn't it.

I’m again watching Finding Alice at ITV pace. I do like Keeley Hawes a lot, especially in The Durrells.

I’m mainly watching this because the actress who plays the daughter impressed me so much in Bring It On The Musical at the Southwark Playhouse a couple of years ago, I knew she’d go on to do bigger things. But her character isn’t great in this so far.

I have been binging Superstore hard the last week and really like it. It is easy watching, but it is also very funny. It takes on some pretty out there topics, for a show with no swearing.

Great ever changing ensemble cast. Sandra and Dina are obvious highlights. Cheyenne is also a great comedy actress, and has some great set pieces. Glenn is pretty special too. Not remotely interested in a spin off. Bo is terrible. Some of the minor characters are fun as well - Carol, Marcus, Myrtle, Jeff...

Gagged at the season 4 finale!

Both Dina and Sandra are up there with the best sitcom characters. It seems to be enjoying a bit of a renaissance since Netflix got it.

I'd never heard of it until last week!

In the UK it has previously been hidden away on ITV2 where they usually burn through the seasons showing episodes nightly. I think there is just the sixth and final season left to air.

You’re slightly ahead of me, but do they ever find out the mystery of the found foot? :D
