WandaVision

I think 80s is meant to be Full House for that meta Olsen twins thing.

Elizabeth Olsen has just fucking killed it in this. Such a magnetic presence. When they were discussing Pietro OMG!

And the absolute GAY RIGHTS of us getting Billy & Tommy :disco:

I wonder if it'll end like this :eyes:

That’s my fear, that they’re going in the direction that Wanda is manipulating all of this.

I can’t deal with the ‘woman has too much power and goes mad’ trope like with Jean.

I mean House of M was truly the moment but that was decades into her character. Let her have a spotlight before The Pretender commits MASS GENOCIDE :D

Enjoyed the third episode a lot more. But this is a show for binging not trying to support a streaming service by releasing one episode a week.

Yes and No. Personally, I feel like releasing a new episode every week gives me time to digest it, watch a million youtube videos mentioning all 83 easter eggs, make up crazy theories, etc. Also, it feels like you're one of the characters, slowly figuring out what the fuck is going on! Though I see why you mention it could benefit from binge-watching, especially if you're a casual MCU fan and not some geek fanboy like some of us are because from what I've read online about some fans (and what some friends have told me) they've given up after this episode. How can one do so with THAT cliffhanger???

A few things that I saw keep mentioning is that the x-men are still far off in their plans so don’t expect any mutants soon.

And I think it’s obvious that this is all Wanda dealing with her grief which is why I find it slow when I get one piece a week. Like I know who Geraldine is and what her necklace means.

but I saw on a video there was a painting on a wall with something that looked like an X!!!!!

It does make sense for the X-Men's arrival to be 5-8 years away though, with everything else that's still to come...

I think this current phase is building towards Young Avengers with Billy, Tommy, Kamala, America Chavez, Cassie from Ant-man and whoever else they have lined up.

I love these. The house Wanda & Vision live at is #2800 so it must have to do something with Earth-2800 :disco:

Anyway, my favorite rumour at the moment is that
the first 6 episodes are between 22-25 minutes long while the remaining 3 will be about at least 50 minutes long and more akin to MCU movies.

Good episode this week - we finally get some answers about what's happening outside the town, and I liked how they showed that most of the questions SWORD have about the situation are basically the same ones the viewers have at this point. Also I hope we get more from (real) Monica as she was fab, and I'd forgotten that I actually like D'Arcy when they're not pushing her in our face too much (I still find it funny that she gets more screentime in the second Thor film than the villain does :D).

Oh and getting to see some of the absolute BEDLAM of the aftermath of the Blip was great!

It was an alright episode. It still took us 3 weeks to get to the point that we know is happening and I’m getting frustrated by how slow it is.

Also I have so many questions, are the episodes airing in real time? Or do they get an episode a week to ensure that they subscribe to Disney+ for as long as possible?

The opening scene was the best part of the episode but so many more questions, did people materialize in other people? Did some of them materialize in building that don’t exist and simply fell to their death? Did someone materialize into a wall?

Well this last episode sure was much better. Finally excited to see what happens next. *gets another episode of 65% sitcom, 30% credits and 5% something happening*

I've read :eyes: we may be getting both episodes 5 and 6 this weekend.

I've seen the Wikipedia entry adding more reviews and apparently its RT score dipped by Episode 3 but rose again after this weekend, perhaps they want to keep that momentum going.

New trailer with some footage from later episodes:

Agnes in her Eighties look is quite :disco:

It's really starting to unravel now - I loved Wanda trying to roll the end credits to shut Vision up, and him ignoring it. There has to be more to Agnes - she doesn't seem to be fully mind controlled like the other Westview residents, and was openly asking Wanda for her cues in the scene at the start... she also seemed to perk up when the boys mentioned Wanda could bring back the dead. She's the key to a lot of this, I feel...

I’m truly shaking at:

* Vision starting to figure things out
* Agnes’ wild ‘GIVE HER ANOTHER TAKE!’
* Billy & Tommy dressed in the colours of their costumes
* Queen Monica basically confirming Wanda could’ve handled Thanos
* Wanda stealing Vision’s body
* Wanda’s flawless hair 5 weeks in a row
* Wanda’s Eastern European accent returning when on the outside.

Plus we had been talking about the only sitcom trope they hadn’t used yet was replacing an actor and then they FUCKING WENT THERE.

OMG THIS SHOW!

I'm really expecting to get the
Aaron Taylor-Johnson Pietro
at some point now TOO, and hell why not have
Michael Fassbender show up as Magneto and confirm he's their ACTUAL FATHER, nothing is off the table now!

Also saw some speculation that the aerospace engineer Monica mentioned will turn out to be none other than
Reed Richards

Did Monica's weird test results mean she now has her powers? Maybe she somehow got them from the combination of the town's radiation and Wanda zapping her :eyes:

FUCK! Deceased!

I do think the fact they mentioned her parents this week literally out of nowhere means that’s getting retconned straight away!:D

Did you hear her mention PHOTON?!

A small point I liked was that the Eighties stuff was incorrectly in widescreen, which I took to be a sign of how she's starting to lose control of everything/it all going a bit TOO wrong to last much longer - they've been too good with the little details to miss something like that!

I noticed that too! I expected the ratio to go back!

Let me stop you RIGHT THERE COB but there's a PLOT TWIST TO THIS

The Spanish dub refers to said Engineer as a SHE, so perhaps Monica was referring to SUE STORM?
