Mary Wilson DEAD

This is sad. She was talented and clearly very committed to The Supremes and maintaining their legacy.

Also, turning your gripes with a former colleague into Oscar-bait... Iconic.

Gutted. I love me some Mary :(

She sounds so full of plans and excitement in that video too. Those 'lost' recordings she mentions after Red Hot are fan favourites (I think they are a mixed bag myself).

I do love the Jean-Mary shared leads, their voices contrasted really well:

I'm not massively into Motown or specifically the Supremes, but my mother is a huge fan.

Popped on some Supremes. They did have some absolute bangers.

Anyway, Mary looked great in that clip. 70s no longer feels like old age, so I'm surprised to hear she has left us. Was it natural causes?

If this she ever met Harold Wilson's wife - Mary Wilson.

It's possible. They were famous at the same time.

*loses evening*

Also not really a Motown fan but big respect for one of the most important groups ever. Where Did Our Love Go is one of the best songs of the 60s.

After a listen this afternoon, I can confirm Up The Ladder To The Roof, The Happening and Nathan Jones are all awesome.

Also Stoned Love is the tits.

Stoned Love is probably my favourite Supremes song of all eras. Diana years My World is Empty Without You maybe.

This disco number squeaked into the US top 40 and is their best late period song I think:

Funny, Where Did Our Love Go came up on shuffle this morning...

I think my 3 favorites by them were probably Stop! In the Name of Love, Love Child, and Up The Ladder To The Roof

RIP Mary

Oh no, my friend's actually a massive fan of her specifically, how sad. :( She was sock'n it right up to the end though.

RIP :(

Hard to choose a favourite one, they have so many great songs, but it has to be Come see about me.

So it doesn't appear Harold Wilson. I did find out she had an affair with Tom Jones. Mary Wilson, not Mary Wilson.

Mary's expanded Red Hot album with the unreleased bonus tracks and one more recent song came out digitally this week. Shame she wasn't around to see it as she was clearly happy about the project :(

Mary's Motown Anthology was released today, it is really very nice. Somewhat randomly it features quite a lengthy tribute from HILLARY CLINTON
