The second rehearsal clips are weird, with Greece (which looks incredible) we get to see the chorus

Greece is going to look great on screen but odd for those in the arena who can’t see the effects.

I've watched the Cyprus clip about 30 times and I'm not stopping any time soon

The outfit, the choreography, the casually nailing it with a shiny-faced smugness, everything is just ON POINT

To think I thought it'd be a downgrade from the video a la Tamta, when everything's been levelled all the way up

I don't get Italy at all, please tell me that one isn't happening. If Finland qualify maybe they'll cancel each other out. Because all rock songs sound the same obviously

I don't like it either, but i feel rock entries rarely flop in Eurovision, so it could happen.

Mr Georgia's voice really is exceptional when he's actually trying. Still a probable NQ but I don't rule this out as a surprise.

I'm losing interest in Albania. It has a great opening SHOT, but after that nothing really happens of note.

Portugal's stage show I must admit looks beautiful. Some really clever touches with the backing animation.

Song is still such a dud though. I'll resent it if it qualifies.

Bulgaria's stage show is probably one of the most ambitious of the year (after poor horribly misguided Ireland )

They're consequently having a little trouble keeping the cameras/rigging out of frame in places which somewhat spoils the overall effect. It's nitpicking though - the overall thing is gorgeous.

I'm quite sorry that we never got to see Bulgaria's stage show for last year's, much better, song. It sounds like it could have been spectacular.

Sometimes I think I prefer the rehearsal lead up to the ACTUAL EVENT itself

Who doesn't love the high-drama of finding out who's a FLOP or NOT, the endless discussions about who is going to qualify and the SUDDEN LAST MINUTE THREAT of something awful being a potential winner due a decent run through

If I remember correctly, Switzerland had a dramatic facial close-up section in the final pre-chorus, whee Gjon was bathed in red light.

Red light being insanely over-used this year, they've now switched to purple, which is unfortunately just making him look a bit like THIS:

It actually looks pretty good on-screen! The camera work seems spot on, the LED explosion really works and I'm gagging for a Mint Magnum...SUCH A SHAME (for her) that literally nobody is going to vote for it
