Come dine with Moopy

Starter - halloumi and lentil salad
Main - steak, chips and rocket salad
Desert - cheesecake or cheese and biscuits (or both)

Octy clearly in the pocket of BIG CRISP there.

Oooh and now I'm thinking about deep fried battered pickled onion Monster Munch. 😍

Oh I agree, but people can be right fussy about that kind of thing. Nobody argues about what vegetables they get, but when it's ICE CREAM OR CUSTARD everyone gets all in a tizz.
The correct answer is alway custard. Always. :disco:

Starter
Baked Peppers stuffed with various cheeses

Main
Moussaka or Boeuf Bourguignon

Dessert
Chocolate & Orange cake with ice cream on the side

I love rhubarb. It's very sour naturally, so it depends how much sugar you add.
I miss rhubarb crumble SOOOO much!
Gimme any version of crumble to be honest and I won't say no.

Oh God mine seems a touch pedestrian after seeing all the foreign muck everyone else is planning to serve.

I honestly think I've only ever served up a three course meal once and that was 70s themed.

Obviously I've cooked for others, but they've normally been centred on a hearty main meal with sides and if you're lucky dessert!

I did it once, but didn't really think things through and went for three really LOVELY but really FILLING meals. Had to space them all out to a ridiculous degree just to stop it being too much of a STRUGGLE.

3 course meals are a FAFF and not really conducive to an enjoyable/sociable evening. I just go with some sort of NIBBLE or ANTI-PASTI to start, with a show stopping main and coke for dessert.
Replace coke with a gallon of wine and that's pretty one of my soirees.

My mate, who's a genuinely amazing cook, will normally do starters at about 5pm, main meal at 8pm and then we're normally too drunk for dessert. There is normally a massive amount of grazing throughout as we're normally pretty stoned too.

Formal meals at home are such a relic!

What I usually prepare to impress someone coming for dinner for the first time:

STARTER
Salmorejo (with Spanish ham and boiled egg on top)

MAIN
Croquetas (croquettes?) (filled with bechamel and Spanish ham)

(sometimes I cook something else, or prepare a bit of sushi, but it's usually too much)

DESSERT

Either

Catalan cream (similar to crême brûlée)

Or

Carrot cake (I make the best homemade carrot cake you'd have)

Surely this doesn't need a pic :basil:
I made salmorejo last summer. Utterly delicious.

It is difficult to make here though, as British tomatoes are so SHIT compared to Mediterranean ones. And I'm sure @Alla would say the bread I used wasn't authentic. I think I used ciabatta.

Well I guess Alla has won Moopy Come Dine With Me then…

Well yes, the better the tomatoes/bread/olive oil are, the better it tastes. But I made salmorejo in UK and it was quite good, to be honest. And as I make it all the time, I use whatever bread I have left, I used so many different ones, and there isn't such a big difference.
