Is anyone else having POSTING ISSUES?

It must be disheartening for you to be mistaken for this guy.

Maybe you’re Pearl who very touchingly always ended her posts with a lower case kiss x

EDIT: Ignore the below, it now works. IN YOUR FACE, HANNAH

Can everyone else not get in to the Captain Sir Tom Moore DEAD thread which my post just got conjured away in to? https://www.moopy.co.uk/threads/captain-sir-tom-moore-dead.101408/

Is Hannah Ingram-Moore behind this :(

That thread may have been semi-hidden at one point due to us not wanting to be seen making jokes about the nation’s sweetheart whilst some unrelated unpleasantness was going on. Presumably, it has now been un-hidden after we turned out to be RIGHT ALL ALONG.

Moopy logs me off and on and off again all the freaking time I'm using the computer, which is most of the times. When I'm going to reply a thread it logs me off, then I have to refresh the page, sometimes more than once. I thought it was my old laptop, but it's not; I tried firefox, chrome... same issue. Does anyone have the same problem or any idea what's going on? It's been like that since the last update of the forum, maybe 2 years ago? It's getting tiresome and a nightmare just to read Moopy. Help please :vomit:

Sometimes I click on a thread and I can't see the last(s) post(s) that I know they are there because I can see more recent ones on "latest posts"; I have to refresh the page and they appear. That happens quite often and it makes reading Moopy an unpleasant experience.

These sound like two issues:

You getting logged in and out sounds like a cookie issue. Try deleting your cookies (and cache) and then from then onwards it should work. Google carries your cookies between devices which would possibly explain why it's followed to your new device

The second is probably happening when you are logged out. If people aren't signed in, Moopy is served from Cloudflare, which uses a saved copy that updates roughly every five minutes. This is to reduce the impact of search engine scraping on the actual server. Fixing the first issue should make the second go away, because if you're logged in you get data directly from the Moopy server

Thanks! I'll try that, I never thought of cookies making into a new device, I was clueless since it happened from the first minute. x

Edit: it looks it's fixed. Those bloody cookies!

Have you been changing your WiFi connection or do you have multiple email accounts that you sync your browser to?

That can all affect how moopy recognises your login details.

Thanks. I constantly change email accounts because of work, but I use another browser, I've been using Chrome only for Moopy and watching tv/movies (sort of Prime). I don't even have an email associated to this browser. And same wifi that I didn't turn off all this time. 🤷‍♂️

When I go to the main page and logs me out, I get this message on the bottom of the browser: The active user has changed. Reload the page for the latest version. I don't know what that means.

Have you accidentally bookmarked Moopy.co.uk instead of the cooler Moopy.org.uk?

My phone defaults to org.uk and I can’t use emojis or formatting on it!
