I feel like Moldova, Iceland and Slovenia are all chanceless, and Serbia, Azerbaijan and Australia are fighting for the borderline slots. It wouldn’t surprise me if Cyprus ended up borderline too actually, vocals depending

I fear Slovenia is headed for a single digit total, it’s more a series of sound effects than a song, I can’t see who will vote for it (outside of a standard few from Serbia and Croatia)

If I didn’t know anything about fan polls or odds etc I genuinely would assume Switzerland and the Netherlands were narrow qualifiers at best :D I feel the most out of touch I’ve ever been this year

Always good to have countries back, but I believe they have a huge debt with the EBU and are on the verge of bankruptcy so it’ll presumably take a while (or considerable effort). It’d be good for the contest to be opened up to commercial broadcasters in cases where the public one isn’t taking part

This is definitely the most realistic their debut has been, I dread to think of the drama it will cause with Serbia (and possibly even Spain)

I’m fairly sure the size/influence of the country/broadcaster plays into it somewhat, e.g. Germany very rarely getting early draws vs Czechia getting put 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 14th (earliest possible second half draw) every single time they qualified, even when they were expected to do well, plus...
