I've got her debut and it's ok but not special enough to draw me back to it too often. She's got one of those voices that works to great effect as a backing singer or co-vocalist but doesn't always stand out as well on it's own.

I do class 'Higher' as being the final track on the first half, yes. I just really do find most of the album a very impersonal experience when listening. I'd never thought about it before but I guess it's odd that I still think of albums I've only ever had on CD as having two sides to them. :D

It has some real highs but the rest I just find so unbelievably soulless, especially for the band in question. The second half of the album in particular (My Favourite Game aside) just merges into one long mechanical mess for me.

I want to hear some of the tracks first but in strikes me that releasing on the Starbucks label just seems weirdly out of place when compared to her previous stance against how music and labels are developing.

I've grown to love 'Bouncing Off Clouds', it should have been given a proper release in the UK. I'm convinced her lack of singles here has played a very strong part in her continued slump. I mean, there's been nothing since 'A Sorta Fairytale' and it was years back still for the predeceding one.

Aside from the ones you mention, Juarez, Lust, Suede and Spring Haze are all essential for me.

Really? :o 'Venus...' is my favourite Tori album. There are individual tracks I like more on most of the other albums but I just find 'Venus' to be a really cohesive listen. 'Lust' in particular is one of my favourite Tori album tracks.

I also refuse to believe it's from the Beekeeper sessions simply because it's impossible to think that it didn't make the cut when you look at what DID. Good choice, my favourite of the new Piano tracks also.

FAR TOO LOW. :o This would normally be in my top 10, I can't imagine ever ranking it outside the top 20 even on an off day.

Me too, I've never been a huge 'Sweet The Sting' fan. For some reason I really like the title track and 'Toast' (which is hated by most on here isn't it?)... Glad you included 'Real Men' Suedey, the covers album has actually grown on me of late and that's definitely one of it's stand out...

I assume that all 50 songs are just SO Toritastic that you are struggling to order them?

Suedey, even by your own high standards, this has fizzled out incredibly quickly. I can't possibly continue in this life if I don't know what the #50 song is. :(
