    Can't help you there.

    I like having one week's overlap to reduce the stress of moving (time to make multiple trips, time to give your old room a good clean).

    I'd view the extra three week's rent as being the price you pay to get peace of mind / a nice place to live.

    I find the whole thing utterly DEPRESSING to be honest. You always end up looking at things you CAN'T HAVE and thinking IF ONLY. I'm trying to let an OLDER GENTLEMAN FRIEND let me live in his place while he's out of town for a few months. But that path is not without its COMPLICATIONS.
