If Cordelia’s perf goes tits up tonight, at least there’s the option of Kate Ryan tribute act.

This was the highlight of the year for me. It starts slowly, but it builds and builds and the melody is DELICIOUS.

In a year of so many entries that sounded three quarters of the way to a fully formed song, this was the perfect package.

Would Klara Hammarström have done any better? I absolutely don't think so.

Run to the Hills would have collected jury nils.

In I Dimman really was the ONLY alternative but Moldova's juggernaut would have been a real problem for Medina.

And let's not even talk about BAGGE.

I’ve never spent less money voting before, however Miss Cornelia got all my votes (3) this year.

She’s been added to the corporate priority list, so will get a ton of global support (same for male Jessie J Sam Ryder

She’s released a cover of The Ark’s excellent ‘It Takes A Fool to Remain Sane’

I really like that. Much better than her recent release, with the unfortunate hook/punchline 'make up your bloody mind'.

I've been roped in to go to a FULL CONCERT of this lady next month just because I mentioned I liked her song last year at Eurovision.

My friend has even made a T-SHIRT with HER FACE on it!

I shall report back.

So the concert was tonight and for POSTERITY I shall add:

- I enjoyed myself, she's a real rock chick (apparently her dad was the lead singer in some sort of glam rock band and it shows)

- she was wearing some DREADFUL denim outfit because she forgot her concert clothes in Liverpool :D

- she was extremely chatty in that awkward, "English is not my first language" sort of way

- she also was extremely CLUMSY to the point where she nearly knocked over the mike stand several times and tripped herself over with the mike cord. A full-on stage fall is only a matter of TIME surely

- some of the songs were great and when she goes into the rock register it's a delight, but she can also belt out. RISE is a BOP in particular

- we were so close to the stage because my friend is a LOON that she sang the last verse of Hold me Closer IN MY FACE and I'm not going to lie to you gays that was PRETTY SPECIAL :disco:

Jealous that you got to see her - this is the second gig she has done in London in the last year. I had tickets for the first one but I ended up not going because my work trip fell through. Maybe one day.

Seeing her at Euroclub has elevated her to a must see for me- if I wasn’t so busy/ tired I’d have got tickets for this. She was sensational. I absolutely love how unique her voice is- loads of people think she was pissed at Euroclub but I think it’s just her.

Paled only to the fact she was the warm up act for LA PERRELLI who, let’s face it, destroyed everything in her path.

Her voice is phenomenal, even if I feel like she's determined to be mute by the time she's 40 the way she pushes it.

She said at the end of the concert she'll be back in London in February next year!

Not by any chance doing a gig utterly bladdered again, was she? :basil:

I didn't get DRUNK vibes at all. She is just very expressive onstage and kept swinging wildly, I thought she was going to hang herself with the mike cord several times. She also did a full cartwheel at the end of Rise and nearly landed on top of the electrical equipment :D But she knew what she was doing.

She did order a gin and tonic halfway through the concert mind you.

AS I SAID... :D

I overhead one gay near me at Eurovision said "Oh she's drunk like at Euroclub" when she did I Turn To You- no way you turn up on a Eurovision stage like that and manage to do what you do IN TUNE and IN A BATH OF WATER!

If she didn’t do ‘Dance Alone’ was she even there at all?

Again, I was saying at Euroclub how much FUN that would be, but it didn't fit with anything else she did that night or is doing now.

I still think throwing it out POPPERS, TITS AND ALL in the middle of one of her sets would be BLINDING though :disco:
