Madonna - Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones (remix anthology)

I'm not sure I want to click on that. They're even worst than the Guardian in their lack of objectivity and hatred towards her.

I clicked and hated myself already for doing so.

"Few pop superstars have borrowed as much from club music as Madonna."

Oh just FUCK RIGHT OFF :manson:

Why is there so much misogyny in the world? Ugh

I'm really enjoying this collection of dancefloor bangers. The TRUE queen of CLUBS!

I could do without the Give It 2 Me remix though, this version of it has always reeked of CIRCUIT parties including stringer tank tops and mesh booty shorts!

I like GI2M remix, nice one to fuck & grind to I think!
Not that I would know

:eyes:

I get a bit confused with all the Express Yourself mixes, but this version is definitely my favourite shorter one.

Why is it illegible? I think streams are very low anyway so it probably won't shart.
I expect it'll chart properly in the lower 20s when the vinyls come out.

It didn't chart on the main chart or the streaming only chart. There is some discussion on ukmix over whether it is eligible or not.

Why not eligible though? I don't get it
It's a proper ALBAM isn't it?

Streaming Only Albums

-Newly released studio artist albums available in an audio streaming only format will be chart eligible.
-For a streaming album to qualify as newly released it may not feature repertoire previously available on albums by the artist (unless they are newly released alternative versions of previously available tracks).—
-Greatest hits/anthologies/live albums and generally compilations of previously released material will not be chart eligible if available for streaming only.

OK well that's lucky then isn't it otherwise it probably would have been her first record to shart outside the top 75 probably?
Anyway the physicals will get her a shart push

Yes, despite my feelings about the last few tracks, my appetite is well and truly whetted for the full thing.

The last few tracks were never favourites in their original forms. Like a few people I know, I have struggled with the last couple of albums. They have more scrobbles on last.fm than some of my absolute favourite albums from her back-catalogue because I played them so many times hoping the "magic" would at some point kick in.

Medellin should have been jancelled from the compilation, or at least re-remixed or something. That's my only gripe. Otherwise LFL (elephant intro mix) and IDSIF are iconic.

Absolutely!! I'd take ANY mix of 'Causing A Commotion' - (criminally overlooked once again) - over it any day.
She's such a troll I don't now why she hates it so much. Clearly she didn't in 1990 when she performed it on BAT a mere three years after WTG.
Once TIC came round and she jancelled it that was it. It's like it doesn't even exist in her back cat anymore. Why be so hateful Madame for such a great BOP???

I HOPE you find WHAT you're LOOKIN' for
Is it MINE? Walk THROUGH that DOOR
We're WASTING TIME
Make UP your MIND
And

GET INTO THE GROOVE :disco:

To be fair, she did stick it on 'The Holiday Collection'. It was the only reason I bought it at the time.

I was always hoping for a second volume to include 'Angel', 'Dress You Up' and 'Gambler', but sadly alas it was not to be.

To be clear, IF this compilation was chart eligible, would the streaming figures (comparable to other chart eligible releases) have given her a chart entry (and if so can that number be estimated)?

.. Or are streaming metrics for this release simply so low, that even if compilations were allowed to chart - the metrics of this release are so low that it simply would not have charted (in its present available form) anyway?
Not according to that ukmix thread

Anyway, the thing is that the streaming numbers from this week (if we take Spotify figures for reference, 1.2M worldwide on week 1), are definitely not enough for the album to chart based on streaming alone anywhere.
So, even if 100% confirmed it was eligible, it wouldn’t have debuted.
