Ellen's ex, Anne Heche, is apparently recovering from serious burns in a car accident. She appears to be stable now.

I read that she crashed into a building that then caught fire, fled the scene then crashed AGAIN where she was injured

She’s long since seemed very troubled, but this is just awful. I hope she isn’t too seriously disfigured.

There's video of her sitting upright after being taken out of the fiery mess. Quite amazing she survived. But yeah it seems she is still very troubled.

I feel really bad for the victim whose home Anne crashed into. On top of the injuries, she lost her whole house 😟

Apparently she had cocaine in her system

should we split this into a separate thread?

Oh wow. That’s quite the tragic end for her.

What a terrible end, but given the apparent severity of her injuries it might be for the best for her to slip away to be honest. I can’t imagine much worse than living with the kind of severe burns she must have suffered, even if you were a particularly mentally strong person - which she clearly wasn’t. :(

Film career wise I’ve seen her in Birth and the Psycho remake. I do remember her being in other big films around that time though.

Sadly it was all rather overshadowed by her apparent breakdown after breaking up with Ellen. Didn’t she claim to have been abducted by aliens?

It's all been so hard to read. I've tried looking it up, so assume no one else was injured.

Anne Heche. She was definitely a name that sparked interest and I do think in the end there has been a lot of sympathy for her and not too much of the usual fish in a barrel remarks about her tabloid associations. What happened was truly horrific. Her son Homer's words were really beautiful:

"Hopefully my mom is free from pain and beginning to explore what I like to imagine as her eternal freedom."

I loved her creepy turn in I Know What You Did Last Summer

What happened to the traditional DEAD.

DEAD or it didn't really happen.
