We're so happy they took part, however the game ends here for The Petshop Boys. "Always On My Mind" will get another crack at the title in the 1987 UK No 1 Survivor, however for now they will settle with a promising fourth place finish.

Well, I like two of these songs (the singer of the other was okay on Masked Singer recently) :D
Looks like Enya will 'sigh, say goodbye' in this round 😅 but here are some stats:

Heaven Is a Place on Earth by Belinda Carlisle: Released September 1987; No 1. on 16th January 1988 (2 weeks #1)

I Think We're Alone Now by Tiffany: Released August 1987 (1967 cover) - No 1. on 30th January 1988 (3 weeks #1)

Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) by Enya: Released September 1988 - 1988; No 1. on 23rd [1] [2] October 1988 (3 weeks #1)

The question is whether Enya will ever re-record Orinoco Flow...? :disco:

The answer is that Enya has already re-recorded Orinoco Flow DOZENS of times in her career. Most of her albums feature it at least thrice; she just changes the song titles.

The tremoring Heaven or sheer wind-in-face abandon of Alone, I almost can't decide. Belinda's song just continues to ignite, but I just can't shake off the draw of Tiffany's teenpop drawl - it just opens out more and there's more to it. Maybe also because she never topped it and it seems so in isolation.

PSB tops both of them, but I never knew it was also 1987 and wouldn't have voted for it previously had I known anyway.
