2021 Mayoral and Local Elections

Honestly they could serve up some hard socialism disguised as soft liberalism.

Or just ANYTHING! He's not saying ANYTHING!

Speaking of R TRACE, she's finally been confirmed :disco:

On the downside, as mentioned, that does guarantee another by-election that Labour will most likely lose in the coming weeks. In Jo Cox's old seat, no less. :(

Speaking of Jo Cox, the last five years seem to be confirming that terrorism actually works quite well as long as what the terrorist wants is quite close to what the government wanted to do anyway.

Oh God. It never stops. That's just gross.

Worth noting that Labour have won 10 of the 12 confirmed Mayoral contests, even taking a couple. It's not a TOTAL lost cause.

And the Tories are now drawing up plans to reform the voting system for mayoral elections which will give them a better chance of winning against Labour.

Let's face it, the Tories won't be happy until we have an electoral system where the ballot papers give strong electric shocks to anyone who tries to vote for their opponents.

General Election 2033: ballot paper - "pick your favourite character from Downton Abbey, then punch yourself in the face".

Is Rayner being moved to shadow Michael Gove a promotion or a punishment, I wonder?

I see Angela Rayner has managed to negotiate from 'getting a demotion' to 'getting ALL THE JOBS'. We love to see it :disco:

Oh God, the Tories have snatched the town council, by doing a deal with the scum independents.

I see that a Tory Police & Crime Commissioner has been elected in Wiltshire who is barred from taking up the job as a result of a drunk-driving conviction so they're going to have to run the election again. :argh:

I’m surprised the Tories aren’t just ignoring the rules as usual

Did he get the conviction since he went onto the ballot? Why would he be put up for that role :D
The conviction is years old. It seems like neither he nor the party bothered to check as to whether it was disqualifying.
