Klara breaking the streak of a female soloist losing to a male artist in AC.

But is there anything for us CHIARA FANS?

There is actually a SPECTACULARLY DRAMATIC female-sung traditional fado DEATH BALLAD which is truly beautiful and I HOPE WINS! (it won't)

The one with the pink hair looked riddled with self-doubt. Is she this season‘s Mariette?

In comparison to the others this year, she was relatively unknown going in. Her song is quite personal as it is about her struggle with drugs and alcohol and how she overcame it. She was already excited to have made it to AC, so I imagine this for her making the Final really is an incredible moment.

I'm happy for Clara herself (rather than the song), but not at the expense of Eva and Ewa. I'm assuming she won't trouble the top spot in the final.

I feel a bit guilty for being horrid now :(

i hope the producers have warned her that Swedes are heartless and will only vote for her if she gets her baps out

I'm happy for Klara as she was a lot more confident this time but I am UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLARING EFRAIM 'BEST OF ME' LEO IN MY BEDROOM AND LOVING IT

Love, love, love Clara Klingenstrom! I said to @Suomi that it really felt like a song and a performance where she’s trying to convince herself of something - it has a real urgency to it. So to hear about her backstory makes a whole lot of sense. I kind of felt she wasn’t singing about a person but something bigger than that. So, yeah, best new song I’ve heard this year in any context! Thanks Clara! :disco:

Let me just declare that Benjy and Felix's bit was spectacular before I go back in the thread to see if you all agreed and get cross if you didn't because you can never be sure with this place

Who are these RENT BOYS?!?

This is a LUKE. WARM. MESS. :disco: :D

They’re both so PUNCHABLE

FUCK OFF FELIX YOU GOT LIKE FOURTEEN POINTS IN THE TELEVOTE LAST YEAR

WHAT'S THIS SHIT

How are they making all these songs sounds identical to each other?

They are destroying every single song, ENOUGH.

I can't stand these two, putting them together is worse than eating shit.

If I've figured out the duels correctly, this means either:
> Lillasyter was 3rd and Paul Rey was 4th, with the latter making it.
or
> Efraim Leo was 3rd and Clara was 4th, with the latter making it.

I personally think Clara was 3rd though, which really makes me question more the Frida vs. Paul duel or how Frida managed to come 3rd in her heat.

I can well imagine Christer bent the normal rules to drag Paul to the final. Two years in a row his dirges have been met with a roar of indifference, but for some reason it's ordained that he simply must make it to the end.

I feel bad for moaning about Clara knowing what it actually means to her and the story of the song. I just didn't quite get the love as a song, albeit there's a lovely melody in there somewhere as I said last night.

Eva and Ewa brought something fun in a competition that has a lot of samey straight faced pop songs by young, samey singers. It was a cruel duel. I wonder if both would have finished top 4 if it had been a straight up "vote for your favourite" in the line-up. I'm not sure I see the value of duels when you have this, then dead weights like Frida vs Paul.

As for Clara I wish her well in the final but I wouldn't want it troubling the big guns for the win.

We'll have to see what the numbers tell us, but had it just been a straight 'the four with the most votes go through' format, I expect the qualifiers would have been Clara, Eva & Ewa, Alvaro and Lillasyster.

That's frustratingly plausible. I don't understand the function of the duels at all other than for Christer to ensure his chosen talentless young boy of the year gets through.
