I mean at the time this was a bit divisive right? A total out of the blue January #1, well not totally out of the blue, being a Levi’s advert song, but what a disparate group of #1s those were.

Jas Mann seemed like he might have been a pain in the arse, but this extraterrestrial Artpop is really serving it today.

A stepping stone to Gay Dad and Placebo..

I feel like the execution stops it being a true classic for me.

I mean, how embarrassing that the best part is the final 40 seconds.

I actually had the ALBAM :D

I used to write poetry (I know - how shocking) and several of my poems from that era were inspired by some of their ALBAM TRAXXXX :manson:

God what a BLAST from the PAST.

I quite like this :D but it does feel like a very unlikely #1, the past is a strange place.

Out of MORBID CURIOSITY I've googled them and found out they actually released a follow-up to this album that was SLATED all around and the first single, while FAIRLY DERIVATIVE (which is kind of the opposite of Spaceman) is not a bad song, just a bit BRITPOP PASTICHE really.

I used to feel like that too, but I like the two speeds :D

I’m getting weirdly nostalgic for 90s britpop these days

not a song I ever need to hear again. 7, for the quick part.
