Obviously the best female ballad ever was dismissed too soon. There is such a beautiful vulnerability about it, especially in the midst of JT's chauvinistic "diss tracks", that makes it stand the test of time and makes it really special.

Now, this round is the LIGHTNING ROUND. Vote up to three to eliminate, and this poll will only be open for 24 HOURS.

I’ll forgive the people who vote for Slave, but I won’t forget

Toxic with 5 votes!!

someone post that Brigitt Nielsen GIF of her laughing out of exasperation

might as well vote out Baby if we hate icons so much

Where Britney leads, I don't follow. Her first singles usually are stepping stones for the real prizes. Baby, Oops and Slave are not ones for me to seek Amy about.

Gimme More on the other hand is heroined up to the eyeballs and remains her pinnacle.

I only used one vote because the rest are all just iconic and have variously saved my life over the years

Oh please, let's not start by saying "Baby" and "Wannabe" are on a level. "... Baby"'s final minute keeps the world's homosexual population in regular need of care from the proctologist.

I still remember how I gasped when I heard a snippet of BOMT on Chiltern Radio back in early 99. It literally invented the concept of the wig.

I never said that :o I was talking about Toxic being as ubiquitous to Britney as Wannabe to the SG (same for overplay) . Baby is on a whole different level, and deserves to be compared to something BETTER

I can see you thinking Toxic is ubiquitous and overplayed (but who is playing Britney now?), except compared to Baby!

I think if there’s word association going on, you say Britney, you’ll get Der DER DER!
