Everyone's favorite republican is back :eyes:

Also her first album that isn't Christmas music / gospel covers in four years.

Lead single "Ghost Story" is OUT FRIDAY

republican
Is she actually?

I’ve lost so much interest in her in this last decade. I still like her 2-4th albums but I haven’t heard anything new in a while

Carrie Underwood top 3
1. Last Name
2. Just a Dream
3. Before he Cheats

I’ve thought about it more and here’s a real ranking

1. Blown Away
2. Before he cheats
3. Last Name
4. Just A Dream
5. All American Girl - I hate that I love this song

@RJN there is so much to love beyond the hits :o

Have you heard “I Know You Won’t” or THAT live perf of “How Great Thou Art”?

I shall post my top ten later

Don't hit that cancel button just yet. She's hardly Palin!

She supports same sex marriage, campaigns for animal rights etc, which aren't exactly hard right views.

Also didn't she drag Trump at the CMAs a few years back with 'Before He Tweets'?

The majority of republicans support same sex marriage

Oh I really like I Know You Won’t. I like a lot of her early album tracks but I don’t really choose to listen to them, so I’m defaulting to the ones I hear at bars and parties and stuff mostly

I'm still here for a new album from her, as she has so many songs I love.

The graphic design is ropey though. That font!

I get the vibe that Carrie supports gay marriage when it’s two nice white fairly masculine men

Cancel culture is really exhausting.

This post is actually outrageous. :D

Evil right winged Carrie was actually asking for JESUS TO TAKE THE WHEEL and drive the black gays off the cliff :eyes:

Sorry I want to listen, but I’m boycotting her since she’s in the kkk

And the title track is out at midnight!

The cover is... not great

Don't come for me SDF

Another song Crazy Angels out tomorrow, sounding like CLASSIC CARRIE apparently

Really enjoying the DIRTY MIRRORS in this cheap video

The song has grown on me a lot :shy:

Another really good song from the album, She Don't Know, is out. I love the twist in the chorus:

What she don't know is I know what she's been up to
I bet she thinks she got me played for a fool
But the joke's on her, in that bed she's lyin' in
What she don't know, she don't know is
She can have him (:disco:!)

Listening to the album right now :disco:

I have a feeling this is going to flop, but I'm so glad she is back

"Denim & Rhinestone" (title track) gives me warm feelings. It's firmly in my Carrie top ten.

Haven't heard the album yet.

I love it to, but I think She Don’t Know might even top it for me.

The last proper album opened with 266k??! :o

It had a tour bundle, or something, which definitely helped its first week total.

The projection is truly terrible though. Even her niche gospel album debuted with more than double this amount last year. Apparently there were stocking problems (legitimately:basil:) with the physicals, which would definitely hurt an artist like Carrie who has mediocre streaming.

Is she still big on Country radio or has the project pretty much flopped across the board?

"Ghost Story" is still somewhat on the rise but looks like it might peak outside the top ten at country radio (it's #19 this week). Her last studio album spawned two top tens on that format, so that would be somewhat of a disappointment. The title track, which was teased as a promo single, is definitely too pop for country radio, so they should probably go for something like "She Don't Know" next.
