I miss rhubarb crumble SOOOO much!I love rhubarb. It's very sour naturally, so it depends how much sugar you add.
Replace coke with a gallon of wine and that's pretty one of my soirees.3 course meals are a FAFF and not really conducive to an enjoyable/sociable evening. I just go with some sort of NIBBLE or ANTI-PASTI to start, with a show stopping main and coke for dessert.
I made salmorejo last summer. Utterly delicious. What I usually prepare to impress someone coming for dinner for the first time:
Salmorejo (with Spanish ham and boiled egg on top)
Croquetas (croquettes?) (filled with bechamel and Spanish ham)
(sometimes I cook something else, or prepare a bit of sushi, but it's usually too much)
Catalan cream (similar to crême brûlée)
Carrot cake (I make the best homemade carrot cake you'd have)
Surely this doesn't need a pic
Well yes, the better the tomatoes/bread/olive oil are, the better it tastes. But I made salmorejo in UK and it was quite good, to be honest. And as I make it all the time, I use whatever bread I have left, I used so many different ones, and there isn't such a big difference.
