It's a TERRIBLE FAILURE on the SUPER MARIO BROS film scale considering the talent involved, it was only treated KINDER because of Beatty, Pacino. I believe Pacino even got nominated for an Oscar for being an absolute HAM on this

The best thing about it are obviously the Sondheim numbers and that it gave us VOGUE indirectly.

It did NOT give us Vogue! Vogue was just tagged onto the album to give it some extra sales. Vogue was written as a Like a Prayer era b-side, ridiculously.

The original isn't even very good, so I don't know why he's so bothered. It's ugly as sin, terribly dull and he's like a plank of wood. Too bad given he's been great in the past.
