Okay, so I watched episode 1 of season 2. I wasn't feeling too much sympathy for the wife so looked up to see if it was based on a true story and soon found out what the ending was. I'm not going to spoil it explicitly, but this isn't what I wanted from a season 2. However, perhaps I might stick with it under the interpretation that she's the Dirty John this time, but it just feels like 2 extreme narcissists and I'm not sure this is going to be enjoyable beyond the thrill of Cyndi's When You Were Mine in the opening credits. Oh, and the fashion - that supermarket scene was up there with a memorable moment from Married to the Mob.
