The Dems basically threw this, but it makes sense. It was always going to end this way, and if they’d called witnesses the Republicans would tied them up for weeks, which would have delayed the COVID bill.

The Trump vs McConnell showdown has begun :disco:
Former President Donald Trump went after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday, calling him "a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack" in a broadside attack just days after the Kentucky Republican voted to acquit Trump in his second impeachment trial.

After that vote, McConnell ripped Trump in a speech from the Senate floor, and the two have been estranged in recent months after working closely together during the former President's four years in office.

"Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again," Trump said in the statement. "He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First. We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.

Trump about McConnell: "My only regret is that McConnell 'begged' for my strong support and endorsement before the great people of Kentucky in the 2020 election, and I gave it to him," the former president said in a statement. "He went from one point down to 20 points up, and won. How quickly he forgets. Without my endorsement, McConnell would have lost, and lost badly."

Ugh I wish a "6000 year old DEATH CULT" would ask me to join. I need a summer gig.

They're so friendly to him... It is weird to think I could be interacting with these people any day and not know it

To clarify what I meant, I don't think there is anything wrong or shameful about being a bottom, just that Trump is the kind of person who pretends to be something he's not and is insecure, even about things that there is nothing to be ashamed of. I am sorry that it came across any other way

"Insecure" is just the tip of the iceberg with that man.

McConnell has already openly expressed that he WILL endorse and support Trump if he runs again in 2024 and becomes the nominee. Which only highlights how fucking ancient and deluded McConnell is. He needs to hang up the boxing gloves before he gets knocked the fuck out.

I was expecting Ben Shapiro's sister again, but this lady might be worse.
