One of the best things about the switch to working from home is I can sleep in half an hour longer. Genuinely find it makes a noticeable difference in my day particularly no afternoon slump.

Always been a night owl though getting a little less so with age. Or maybe I'm just PASSING OUT.

I'm definitely more of an early bird

albeit a grumpy one

I used to be a night owl and hated early mornings. Nowaways I’m more of a early bird, even though I wake up really tired.

you have to remember to go to bed early too :D

I pay for it the next day if I miss my "bedtime" by just an hour

I wish I were vers because sometimes I get a sudden SPARK of energy in the evening that I could use for something productive but I know I'll be super annoyed if I'm not out the door at 7.30 at the latest the next morning :sour:

SAME BABES

100% night owl. It's very rare for me to be in bed before 2.30am. Flexi-time is an absolute must for me these days.

I picked vers because I seem to go through phases of one or the other.

I hate waking up late (after 9am), it makes me feel like I’ve missed my whole day.

I’m both and in the past I’ve had problems cause I don’t like sleeping and don’t get enough- I mean, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

Anyway, currently very much early- I get up at 5 most days, including weekends, and usually go to bed between 9 and 10. But I still love a good LATE NIGHT OUT, if that counts.

QUESTION to you night owls, are you 'productive' into the night or just fucking around? I can be up until 2:30 am too but certainly not doing anything meaningful. :D

Whereas there IS just something about early mornings that make you feel like getting up and at it.

I’m much more productive and focused at night. Usually from around 11:30 pm onwards.

I think in terms of work, I'm probably most useful in the afternoon. I hate that our meetings are invariably first thing in the morning (never mind on a Monday), when I barely feel as if I've switched on for the day or week.

Still, when that was brought up, they brought in activities for us to do before the meetings (and asked us to arrive 30 minutes earlier for the horror of it), so I'll keep well buttoned.

Oh wow, I guess I'm finally vers (although I did learn with the ex it's a really good way to shut them up). I'll update my profiles immediately.

Oh I am absolutely a night owl

I hate mornings. And I’m normally out my bed at 8.59 every morning for work at 9.

I've been doing this since lockdown, when working from home became the norm. Most mornings I quite literally roll out of bed and switch my laptop on.

My sleep "schedule" has gone down hill on hospital bed after my work started allowing me to basically go in whenever I want. But then I also have had problems with sleep for years anyway. So yeah a night owl.

I used to be a night owl, but managed to get into the habit of being in work for 7am. I'm on Flexi time though so I've felt myself in lockdown drift back into my old ways, or just not sleeping at all.

I have a 930 zoom every morning

I refuse to put the video on as I’m legit still waking up

I've claimed I couldn't get the camera to work before as well. Am waiting for one I REALLY don't want to do before claiming I couldn’t get the sound working either.

I love going into work super early. alone for the first hour, drinking coffee and coming to on paytime, then leave an hour earlier than everyone else when the office is literally on fire :disco:

The other week I forgot to click the mute button in WebEx and the team heard the sound of my vacuum cleaner.

I start work every day at 7am which suggests early bird and I’d like it to be like that but left to my own devices I’m always a night owl.

I can't sleep much later than 7 or 8 most non working days and get annoyed with myself if I fall into a lie in habit. So most people hate sharing the same bed as me because I get restless and wake them up. At least, that's what I tell myself.

I don't get to sleep till late either usually but would if I could.

Great! I've been standing up on the board on everything. Saw dolphins tonight too.

And the other people in the hostel seem fine but are all quite young so haven't been socialising much with us thank god. :)

Edit: I sound like an oddball but I'm really not.

Mr L gets up at about 6.15am whether he's working or not (and since he started working from home he really has no need to be up for another hour at least) and I think 75% of the time it doesn't disturb me at all.
