This came out in the USA ages ago but only just arrived in UK cinemas. Comedian Bo Burnham's directorial debut.

Absolutely loved it. Elsie Fisher was a complete revelation - what a find. You just cared so much about her throughout, and everything about her character was so perfectly judged and painfully real. It really made me thankful that I grew up before social media was a thing - I genuinely have no idea how young people today cope.

The supporting cast was excellent too - the Dad was so lovely, and again the relationship felt so real and tender.

Highly, highly recommended.

100% agreed, just a really poignant and timely film that i think most teens of this era could probably relate to. I was super stoked she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance.
