Join us for a state-designated and timetabled official Eurovision rewatch, the delightful 2003. The gems of 2003 are much sought over, with some Moopians recently willing to risk life and limb to obtain them. I’ve been busy trying to get Gemma from Jemini to record an introductory hello video for tonight’s show but unfortunately she is in prison.

Join us straight after the show for Liquid Eurovision, where a drunk Lorraine Kelly meets a smug Jessica Garlick!

Fuck me, so many gems to look forward to.

Waltzers magnate Mickey-Joe Harte reminding us that the single most important moment in Ireland’s history was when his mother uncrossed her legs.

Birgitta with the most joyful key change in the history of recorded media.

Tepid Lesbian Action from tATu, representing a country that apparently didn’t mind the gays until they stopped turning a profit for them.

Sertab (83) winning from BEYOND THE GRAVE.

The UK singing two completely different songs at the same time, and scoring points for neither.

i don't really understand the moopy timetable. :shy:

we’re going to watch these years on these dates:

Wed 8th - 2003
Wed 15th - 1997
Wed 22nd - 2016
Wed 29th - 1995
Wed 6th May - 2008
Wed 13th May - 1993

simply because posters had pinpointed them as particular favourites. The Saturday ones we may as WELL do the EurovisionRewatches with our own commentary. I am friends with the people organising the Rewatches and they’ve managed to get the EBU involved to get really good quality uploads on the YouTube channel and celebrity cameo videos from that year, so I think it would be good to join in!

In a moment of madness, and to celebrate my recently defrosted freezer, I picked up a FROZEN BERRY DAQUIRI from Lidl for tonight. :disco:

Surprisingly decent. Even the afterkick of bleach has a definite hint of blackberry.

I'm not usually bothered about midweek watches (one night a week is enough for me).

But I do love 2003...

Also, I'm ALL for joining the rest of the world on Saturdays. There's something REAL about watching a stream, by real I mean the closest we'll get to having a Eurovision this year :(

As for 2003, it's the earliest memory I have of Eurovision. But I know virtually nothing about that part from the winner, so I'm pretty EXCITED :disco:
