Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over The Country Club

How dare you insult notorious Lana stan Mitch McConnell like that.

But probably about half of Kentucky and states liked it

Well then you'll see that I've never actually been to Minnesota

I feel ready to declare the following songs

Wild at Heart
Not All Who Wander Are Lost
Yosemite
Dance Till We Die

TENS or HARD TENS :disco:

:D

can't lie, it feels weird to stan a Lana Del Rey record more than @POP!
I can bop to it but honestly the only thing not making me sad is that I’m deluding myself into thinking we will have a new record in two months :disco:
Celebrate Thank God GIF by Kesha

Down to 12 in the midweeks
Apparently there are eight debuts ahead of it. I can't imagine it'll rebound to the top ten by week end or ever but hopefully doesn't fall too much further given those entries will probably trend off through the week too.

despite placing it fifth, I've spent more time with Honeymoon since the sync than any of her other records (Norman aside) and have come to really love it for the most part. it has quite a bit of first half filler but the highs are towering.

Although it's a 9/10 moment and would feature in my top 75

1. ULTRAVIOLENCE
2. NFR!
3= Lust For Life
3= Chemtrails Over The Country Club
5. Paradise
6. Born To Die
7. Honeymoon

Ok I finally need to listen to this album. I put on White Dress the other day and I just couldn't with the vocal style. I like Chemtrails (the song) well enough, what are the other standouts?

depends what kind of Lana you like!

Wild At Heart, Dark But Just a Game and Dance Till We Die are the happiest/sunniest

Tulsa Jesus Freak has autotune and beats for the Born To Die queens - probably the other closest song to the title track

Yosemite (major highlight) and Not All Who Wander Are Lost are more folksy/Lust For Life-adjacent

just play it all beb, it's a sprightly 45 mins!

I’ve came to terms with the fact that “Yosemite” is one of her most graceful but effortless songs ever. Her next album needs to be with Rick Nowels if he’s still making music.

I have the feeling she more or less ditched Rick for Jack, no? no new music together (that we know of) since the Lust For Life sessions. I would also like him back.

I like Jack but wouldn’t mind if she moved in a new direction. She describes their collaboration as much looser this time around if you listen to her train wreck interview with Annie Mac. She basically conceived this album herself with the exception of two songs that they wrote from start to finish together. She implied NFR was a much more collaborative effort. I feel like she tried to use a lot of the same tropes that were successful on NFR (WAH being a prime example). Until jack is out of the picture I think she will be in a bit of a rut. But I’m happy to be proven wrong.

well you've got at least one more entire album with Jack to come beb so I hope you're proven wrong :D
