Well at least someone who was ALIVE when Vogue was released. She needs A MAN.
That's the best one so far!
Oh puns are okay now. I knew I was ahead of the curve
Anyway, I loved about half of MDNA, but even those moments weren't all finished. Love Spent is a true gem and not even her shrill vocals can shatter its brilliance. The results are between a prayer and a scream indeed.
Madge does The Corrs does Rebel Heart good, but it's all over the place and needs a judicious edit and pretence that the leaked Avicii demos are the finished product to be of the mindset that it's a good little album.
The new one still has some swelling to go down before I make my formal evaluation, but the signs are good that she has something more worthy of what her name should ideally be conjuring, but it's a long way off being ASDA trolley pushers friendly.
Like her What It Feels Like For A Girl lyric, her good stuff shows in patches. I'm more than fine with this. A return to her previous quality control would be wonderful, but rather unrealistic wouldn't you say..
Pop star Annie Lennox commented on the post: “This is utter madness!!! I can’t believe that you are endorsing this dangerous quackery. Hopefully your site has been hacked and you’re just about to explain it.”
This is absolute rubbish of course. Madonna has consistently over the course of her 35+ year career stuck her neck out and made bold political statements outwith the status quo and in support of women, LBTQI and minority communities when many of your faves ( ) were/are too afraid or not interested in speaking out to risk losing popularity. That being said, I still think she's generally clueless about politics and is still only interested in being 'shocking'.
she probably thinks this is some kind of radical statement because 'artists are here to disturb the peace' or something
“I did a remix for Madonna a long time ago [“Revolver” in 2009] and I won a Grammy for the remix [best remix of a non-classical recording]. She calls me afterwards, she tells me that she loves this remix and she suggests that I produce her next album,” the DJ explained during a “True or False” guessing game.
“I arrive for lunch. We talk about everything, the music, what she wants to do with the album. Super nice. It’s just her and me. Very relaxed, very cool. We have lunch. It’s happening. very good and you wonder when we start working together,” he continued.
“She asks me for my astrological sign. I answer her Scorpio. Suddenly, she makes a face and she says to me, ‘I’m sorry, we’re not going to be able to work together. It was a pleasure to know you. Goodbye.’”
You're expecting consistency from 2009 Madonna? :emoji_information_desk_person:Didn't stop her working with Mirwais, Diplo or David Foster...
(Yes I've just trawled through her collaborators birth dates )
