So it's goodbye to Wildcard Wicky, who probably would have won Melfest 2017 had she not been bizarrely and comprehensively shanked by the juries, who placed her 8th out of 12 with just 29 points. She made another finals appearance in 2019 with the decent Not With Me and I expect we haven't seen the last of her yet. If any Melfest contestant is going to be the next generation's Shirley Clamp, still waiting desperately by the phone circa 2031 while bingeing through her third bag of Estrella, it'll be this one...

6th Wiktoria - As I Lay Me Down (6th 2016 - WILDCARD)
7th: Ace Wilder - Don't Worry (3rd 2016)
8th: Molly Sandén - Why Am I Crying? (5th 2012)
9th: Hanna Ferm & LIAMOO - Hold You (3rd 2019)
10th: Mariette - For You (5th 2018)
11th: Louise Hoffsten - Only The Dead Fish Follow The Stream (5th 2013)

Timoteij - Kom (5th 2010)

Sanna Nielsen - I'm In Love (4th 2011)

Ace Wilder - Busy Doin' Nothing (2nd 2014)

Mariette - Don't Stop Believing (3rd 2015)

Mariette - A Million Years (4th 2017)

We’ll always remember Wiktoria for the wisdom in her lyrics. Who could fail to be moved by lines such as ‘Oh man I’m a flombler, a striddywombler’

Anyway, the widow Wilder can go next. It’s nice that we’ve all shown such respect to our elders but the joke’s over.

I fear my desired final two being Mariette vs Mariette may not happen :(
