Mimi Parker (Low) DEAD

I should have taken more notice of news regarding Mimi’s cancer diagnosis because maybe I’d have been better prepared for this horror. One of the greatest voices of our time. What a dreadful, dreadful loss and poor, poor Alan :(

Naturally it’s been LOW A-GO-GO chez moi since I read the shocking and upsetting news and luckily I’m not frightened of songs being more than three minutes long so let’s have recent stunning triumph HEY in commemoration :disco:

I don't think a famous death has ever saddened me so much. Truly the loss of a musical genius, and genuinely one of the most important musicians of all time in my opinion - and I mean no hyperbole saying that either.

That we'll never get another Low album again is just crushing, especially considering the absolute career reinvention HIGHS of the past two albums. I will forever regret not going to their Barbican show for the Double Negative tour.
